Anyways great weekend for the boys….let’s keep it up this week!!!!
I still maintain Vladimir Konstantinov got what he deserved...If you can't handle that then kiss my ass......

Did you notice who started their losing streak?
It’s still really early in the season, but damn this team is awesome.
Quite the lead-in...
I’ve always been partial to ConkBlocker.
Between that and The Halak Net Monster, we have, not only the best goaltending duo in the league, but the best goaltending nicknames as well.
"When I gave up a grand slam to Pete LaCock," Bob Gibson said later, "I knew it was time to quit."

Glad I'm not a blackhawk fan.....
For a good start to a Monday morning, go read the front page story at Second City Hockey.
What’s so great about the Blues? They are kicking ass, taking names, and they are about 20 Mil under the cap….bitches! Why? Because we decided not to go out and spend 10 mil a year on Kovalchuk (a mistake the Hawks made with Hossa two years ago). If we continue to win and Perron, Oshie, etc continue to progress, they will get paid…but we’ll be able to pay all of them and not send Silent Jay, Alex Steen, and Halak packing….that is in a sense what the Blackhawks had to do after last season…because of Hossa…..just sayin….
not to mention that Brian Campbell signing....ugh....
and that Huet signing…ugh….and giving big $$ for many years to all their young guys instead of the two to three year deals the Blues give…ugh…. Damn it feels good to be a Blues fan…
you know what would be sweet?
If after every Blackhawks loss, they would show the score up at the Drinkscotch jumobotron and start playing that obnoxious Chelsea Dagger song….that would be glorious…
Like I said in a post after the Ducks game.....
NO MORE CHELSEA DAGGER…….or I SWEAR ill kill every motherfucker in my way as I get to the soundboard to rip the soundguys skull off and shit down his throat…….
I still maintain Vladimir Konstantinov got what he deserved...If you can't handle that then kiss my ass......

im on board with all
but they do have a cup, and our favorite team doesnt….just sayin,
Pujols takes out "I" in BIG and "A" in MAC, previously considered to be an unyielding, consonant threat
there was no cup awarded last season

true i guess i assumed

The Hossa deal was probably less of a problem than the deals for Huet and Campbell. The Hawks overpaid big time for Huet who was reduced to being a backup goalie and now is on loan to a Swiss team.
He had initially agreed in principal to stay with the Caps after the 2007-2008 season when the Canadiens had traded him there. But got a better offer in Chicago and left. And look what happened to him.
And Campbell, who impresses me at a rather whiny fellow — to say the least.
Rocking the Red since 1975
It amazes me that for all the bickering they do.......
the Hawks fans only have 1 person to blame for their entire debacle……
Dale Tallon……
Had he not fucked up the qualifying offers to his RFA’s 2 years ago they would never have had to deal players this summer…..Hawks fans cry about a Cap exemption for “homegrown talent” but guess what…..I dont see another team in the league having trouble keeping their draft picks in house cause you know why???
SMART CAP MANAGEMENT!!!!
If you put out contracts the likes of Huet, Campbell, and Hossa you shoot yourself in the foot….and guess what…Its not the rest of the leagues respondsibility to let you keep that team together……If you do the crime then your picks get no time……..with your team that is…..
I still maintain Vladimir Konstantinov got what he deserved...If you can't handle that then kiss my ass......

The browser-title for the NY Times article is "Rangers Shut Out by Rangers for First Time"
I don’t know what to say about that.
Clearly the Rangers are superior to all Midwestern teams!
The New York Rangers cannot lose to these… barbarian outsiders! The New York Times knows all things hockey!

Leave it to NY to think they’re the center of the universe in all things sport-related.
Rocking the Red since 1975
Actually, it's just the New York Times.
It seems like they’re constantly searching for some kind of literary or artistic bent to a game that just isn’t there.
NYT Reporter: "Do you find the insistence of the N.H.L. management upon wearing helmets to be unlike or not unlike the sculpture The Lacoön?
Cam Janssen: “It’s hockey, not Greek tragedy on ice. This is a game played to entertain people.”
NYT Reporter: “Do you find the new Reebok Edge jers- pardon, sweaters, to be transgressive of gender normatives?”
Cam Janssen: “Man, do they pay you by the word to use excessive jargon or what?”
NYT Reporter: “Finally, what is your opinion on the unwashed masses of the Midwest, those ignorant yet honest sons and daughters of the prairie sod, who toil ceaselessly for their daily bread, unaware they could simply move to Manhattan and purchase their favorite version of chapatti at any time of day?”
Cam Janssen: checks the NYT Reporter headfirst into the boards “Who would want to live that close to the Rangers?”
NYT Reporter: “… peasant!”
David Backes: “I’ve got this one, Cam.” checks the reporter again “That’s MISTER Peasant to you! Good DAY to you, sir! Good DAY!”

I think its worth saying again
This year sure as hell beats 05-06.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. But that's the way to bet. - Damon Runyon
Comparison Watch:
2005-06 record through 12 games: 2-7-3, 7 points
2010-11 record through 12 games: 9-1-2, 20 points
The 2005-06 team ended the season with 57 points. This year’s model is already 36% of the way to that total, just 15% into the season.
65% of
all percentages are made up.
Straight from the crazy unfiltered mind of a fifteen year-old Blues fan.
Halak is my jesus.
THANKS!
I went a bit crazy on my fbook and twitter… Its really exciting for me… never has my work been put on a “national” level… very happy about it! I screenshotted that shit!
:-D
