A Hyped Halak?

I think it is fair to say that the consensus among NHL fans, or at least knowledgeable ones, would say that Halak's performance during the playoffs was beyond supernatural. Especially, concerning the series against the Pens and Caps. However....long pause...it seems as of late that the ratio of goals allowed by Halak compared with that of the shots on goal, has been more than dismal. After watching every game this year thus far, it seems that Halak has a kink in his armor, his left glove side. The two goals by Dallas in the last game were both on his glove side. He had clear visibility on both shots. It seems that a small pattern is developing on his glove side and not just from this one game but since the large slide. So is the pressure of being perhaps one of the best goalies in the NHL too much? Was the phenomenal playoff performance just a momentary unparalleled event? Or is it just a massive lapse in concentration?

One might attribute our huge slide to the extraordinarily fore-check of Tj Oshie and David Perron. Perhaps Polak is that big of an anchor on "D."

The Blues are putting a lot of shots on net, not all quality, but still a lot of shots.

My questions to the loyal fans here on SLGT, what the *$%& is going on?

Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

Blessings

Clayton
