Friday Headline: Last Links of the Year Edition
Another rat here. Just waiting for 2011 to start to forget about all of the injuries and set backs of the Fall and move to the future. Shit's about to get real.
Anyone else ready for 2011? As I wait for our "official" New Year, I'll be toasting it up with my friends every time the clock strikes midnight somewhere else. We may or may not make it to the Blues game.
Also, can this time next year bring a Winter Classic to Missouri?
Blues News:
Prospect Jaden Schwartz out with a broken left ankle. Why is it important to specify left from right? The silver lining of course - the ability to drive. [Blues]
Puck Drop at 7:30. God is that injury list still depressing. [Post Dispatch]
Blues may be financially backed by a mystery group of investors. [Post-Dispatch]
NHL News:
So, this game tomorrow is kinda a big deal. Here is a time lapse video of the Heinz Field transformation [NHL] A look at the non rivalry between the Pens-Caps equipment managers? Apparently. [NHL] Lemieux stealing the spotlight for the Alumni Game [NHL] Basically, anything you want to know about the Winter Classic, and some things you don't, can be found on NHL.com
Enough Crosby? Not so fast. He has been voted Canada's athlete of the year. [Pittsburgh Post Gazette]
EBUG. My new favorite word. The New York Times gives us a nice piece on being an emergency back up goalie. [NYT]
Face + Puck = Ouch. [NHL.com]
Puck Daddy counts down the top 10 goals for 2010. [Puck Daddy]
Probably should've waited for Stamkos' sick spin-o-rama. [YouTube]
Other Stuff:
Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The Steelers sing Christmas songs. [steelers.com]
For those of you following along at home, here's a countdown of each new year. [timeanddate]
Video:
I'm not gonna lie. I know nothing about Idaho State's Kamil Gawrzydek. In fact, I've been attempting to pronounce his name for the better part of the hour, and I've gotten as far as GAWR. But, I do know one thing - this free throw is fucking ridiculous.
One last thing - All-Star voting ends Monday. Have YOU voted? I have, so many times that I statistically should win that trip to Raleigh.
