Wow
That was an awesome video, no pun intended

Let's go Blues!
Oh I know.
That was AMAZING!! I loved the “ungreased, backdoor, Hammertime love making session” part.
In an unrelated note, I HATE Luongo. After listening to parts of the game last night it amazed me how much I can’t stand that dude.
Barret Jackman is my hero.
Fueled. These new shores burn. Shadow, my sweet shadow, to you I look no more.
Solid effort from your depleted Blues last night. They damn-well earned that win.

how many more injuries can we sustain before we actually have to make a move? last night was a great team victory, but its hard to expect too much consistency from our 3rd and 4th line forwards that are playing 1st and 2nd line minutes. don’t get me wrong, i’m not completely doubting our boys, i’m just a little nervous. thoughts?

Halak to Move it Move it
I don't think the Blues can sustain even ONE more long-term injury before they have to make a move...
They traded the most NHL-ready forward prospect they had in order to get Halak, which was fine — and necessary — but the result is that there’s pretty much no one left in Peoria who can come up here and be expected to make any kind of impact offensively right away.
“Right away” being the key. McRae is developing nicely, but he’s still some months away from being ready to make an immediate impact at the NHl level; he’s only just now starting to emerge as a significant “go-to” player at the AHL level.
Shattock may become a top six forward (if he improves his heavy-footed skating), but he’s still adjusting to the pro game. Ditto Nigro, although he projects more as a third-line type. Sonne and Peluso have a couple of years development under their belts, but they don’t project as top six forwards, either.
Your Porters, your Hensicks, your Cracknells, your Scatchards — they can come up and fill roles for short periods, but they’re not top 6 NHL players. Hensick is the only one of that group who is still young enough, and fast/skilled enough, to have any chance of making an impact, and the clock is ticking on him, too.
The three forward prospects that will be playing in the World Juniors — Schwartz, Tarasenko and Wannstrom — have the best chance of developing into top six NHLers, but all are still another year away from even AHL readiness.
Both goalies in Peoria are playing well, so much so that they’re probably the best trade cards in the Blues’ hand right now. I’d hate to see either traded, but one of Allen or Bishop — or Ian Cole — may be the price to acquire a scorer who needs a change of scenery, and who’s got his best years ahead of him yet.

There has to be a ringer out there somewhere driving a Zomboni
that we can pluck for a Cinderella story. Like that 40 year old pitcher in MLB who finally got his shot only we get miracled with a top 6 forward.

Blue Jaro
Today I have seen an interview with Jaro Halak for slovak media and you could feel the difference from time, when he was interviewed some weeks ago… He is working on himself twice as hard and definitely gaining his confidence back. He never been in this situation before – new member of team as n.1 goalie going through bad bad times – it is absolutely different kind of pressure than in Montreal, where he was just supposed to surprise…
It is not good times but bad times that make the team…
'It is not good times but bad times that make the team…'
Truer words were never spoken.
I have every confidence that Halak will be just fine. This is pressure of a diffferent kind than he’s ever experienced before, as you noted, and he doesn’t seem to be letting the recent string of sub-par performances get into his head.

Awesome dawg video
One awesome dog I have know is my friend’s female pit we call “Carp Dog.” We’d take her bowfishing, she is great for retrieving the big carp in the swift water in the steep azz banked canals of the Imperial Valley in SoCal. Well, she was great, Carp Dawg passed away this year after a long and distinguished career of snagging them big carp for us. She’d eat them too if you didn’t get them away from her in time. That was one dawg you didn’t let lick your face.

Awesome Carp Dawg is awesome...
Hope she’s catchin’ carp in doggie heaven right now, spec.

The best part about Carp Dawg
was she loved me but she didn’t have a hankerin for my other partner Rick. I’d wait for Rick to get all wrapped up in a big carp fight and instead of us sending Carp Dawg into the water to get his fish I’d sic her on Rick. “Get em girl” and she’d take off after Rick and he’d be stumbling around down in the weeds where the rattlers are cussin me the whole time trying to not loose his fish. Rick has this big smile that knocks the wimmens dead but to a dog that big smile is a sign of aggression. The more he smiled the more Carp Dawg wanted to chew on his azz. Good times along the canals.

one last pic of Carp Dawg
Shayla was her real name, here she is bulldoggin another 20 pounder up the canal side. I think she had more fun than us most days.

Nice.
Pit Bulls rock. Wish more people knew how to raise/handle them properly so they wouldn’t get such a bad rap.
