Speaking of Dallas

Anybody see Marc Crawford’s post-game tirade after someone told him he was drinking Colombian Decaffeinated Coffee Crystals?

Dude was pissed (and rightfully so about what should have been a penalty shot)

I have the Touch of Injured Reserve on players...

I have Cam Janssen, TJ Oshie, David Perron, Barret Jackman, and Marian Hossa on my fantasy teams.

Cam Janssen: he was out earlier this year with a concussion and sternum injury.
TJ Oshie: broken ankle
David Perron: concussion
Barret Jackman: out in November with a sprained knee

Hossa: mystery leg injury

Apparently putting people on my fantasy teams gets them injured.

Maybe I should trade for Detroit and Sean Avery?

For the love of God, YES!

Please also acquire random Blackhawks and Canucks. Kthx.

So far...

I’ve had Cam-Smash, Perron, Oshie, and Polak go on IR on my fantasy team in our league. UGH

This made me laugh...
“McDonald is listed as 5 feet 11, 190 pounds, which he might be if he is standing on the hood of a car wearing a suit of armor”

LOL!

In other news, TODAY is my Friday, I don’t have to work tomorrow (Yay for being forced to use up Vaca days).

Oh yes, LETS GO BLUES!!

I laughed out loud at that one too

'Energy line'

Scatch-Della-Jans. Holy shit.
Who are the refs for this game??? I hope it one of the ones from the ‘want’ list.
They are going to have some tired arms. I look for the Blues to get called for tons of penalties because the zebras will be making sure it isn’t a payback game. Every little thing the Blues do will get called to ‘keep control of the game’

Send Scatchard back to Peoria, and bring up Reaves for that line...

Peoria doesn’t play until Saturday, so it won’t affect them any. I’d love to see SDR, Cam Smash, and Rhino wreaking havoc on Umberger and the friggin’ BJ’s…

Man.

That McDonald thing blows. Hopefully we’ll be able to pull something out tonight.

In other news, Ecklund says we’ll be trading with Buffalo to pick up a scorer. In a related note, Ecklund is a damn moron who makes crap up and has NO idea about hockey. So take that for what its worth.

I’m sure I’m not the only one here, but I’m PRAYING for a huge brawl in this game.

Barret Jackman is my hero.

Fueled. These new shores burn. Shadow, my sweet shadow, to you I look no more.

by BluesTiger on Dec 9, 2010 10:19 AM CST reply actions

Wouldn't Buffalo have to pick up "a scorer" before they could trade him?

The Sabres have scored exactly three more goals than the Blues this year. Derek Roy and Thomas Vanek are the only players whose individual lines are better than anyone in the Note, and neither of them is going anywhere.

by BleedBlue42 on Dec 9, 2010 12:02 PM CST up reply actions

It's either...

Tim Connolly (meh), or Drew Stafford (also meh), two underachieving guys with big contracts that Buffalo would like to dump.

Connolly is $4.5MM, Stafford $2.3MM; both are in contract years, Connolly pending UFA, Stafford RFA.

Buffalo has only $3MM in cap space, the Blues have $12MM.

Of the two, I’d prefer Stafford… but if the Blues could pry this Luke Adam kid out of Buffalo, and bring him up from Portland of the AHL, I’d be most pleased. He’s a former junior teammate of Jake Allen…

I wouldn't mind Luke Adam either

Unfortunately, I’m betting they won’t let him go for less than a king’s ransom, as they had him up with the big team playing Monday? night. He potted his first NHL goal against the B’s, and almost had his second on a nice chance.

Heyo, Jackets Fan

Expect umby to warm up outside because ‘your building sucks’. Haha. Im a Blue Jackets fan, should be a good game tonight. Good luck.

by cbjfan14 on Dec 9, 2010 11:15 AM CST reply actions

He can go about 200 yards south of the building, and 'warm up' on the railroad tracks...

Umberger’s a dick.

Nothin’ personal; good luck to you as well.

I'm not wishing anything on anyone, but...

I know there are a few Blues fans who want blood tonight, mainly Umberger’s.

by Paperwork Ninja on Dec 9, 2010 11:39 AM CST reply actions

I dont mean to interrupt, troll or whatever. But just wanted to not for all those that do not know Umberger, he is a great guy. Great person and does a lot of the community. Should he have ignored that situation in which the blues players were warming up in the wrong area, ya probably. But it helped the team, just look at the score.
Also, I like Oshie and it sucks for fans to see such a dynamic young talent go out.
That was a crazy hit on Umby though in Phili.
Well anyway, good luck tonight, and hopefully its a close game.. in favor of the Jackets… in regulation. haha

by cbjfan14 on Dec 9, 2010 2:32 PM CST reply actions

The hit on Umberger in Philly was borderline dirty, I'll agree...

I’ve never been a big fan of Brian Campbell, anyway.

Good on ya for sticking up for your guy and your team withoiut being obnoxious about it. I don’t wish any harm to Umberger, or any other player, but he’s kinda Public Enemy Number One around here at the moment…

I believe it. Im not here to try to start an argument or anything just to talk hockey and enjoy the game. :)
BTW. what did he do that upset everyone so much? Just the incident before the game?
No Blue Jackets people are really talking about it very much anymore, so just wondering.

But no. Im pretty sure It was Pahlson that hurt Oshie. Well actually he kinda dragged him down and Oshie fell wrong. I may be wrong but I was at the game and im pretty sure thats how it went. But it was a while ago. But hey, whatever works. Good luck and Go Jackets

…that Sean Avery made the NHL’s “Best Dressed” list?

Who knew that wearing (being) an asshat and those fucking Clark Kent glasses could get you noticed.

Sean Avery's biggest mistake:

Saying he wanted to intern at Vogue because he’s got a good sense of fashion instead of saying he was there to bang supermodels. I don’t care if it’s the truth, sometimes you just need to go with the “why else would a hockey player work at Vogue?” obvious answer. Even if it’s a dirty lie.

His second mistake was to wear hipster douchebag glasses everywhere. I’m waiting for him to get a banana seat and a sparkly cupholder for his PBR on his Official Rangers Fixie.

by Paperwork Ninja on Dec 9, 2010 3:41 PM CST up reply actions

Fuck the hipsters that turned PBR into a hipster drink.

I drink it because I like it and it’s cheap, not because I’m a hipster.

I used to like it because it was cheap

Now, where I live, it’s more expensive than several other beers.

Watch it here…

I’d drink PBR if the only other option was Coors; other than that, nah.

I really don't turn my nose up at any beer, but I've got a preference for Schlafly that I can't shake.

When I first got it I mistook it for Schaefer thinking “Wow, they’ve really gone up in the world.” Now I know better. And knowing is half the battle. The other half? Violence. Sweet, sweet violence…

Where can I find on a teams website which goalie they’re starting?
Is Mason starting tonight? I have him and Neuvy (Caps vs Fla tonight)
