Forward Prospect Statistics as of Feb. 28, 2010

St. Louis Game Time PROSPECT SUNDAYS

Forwards header

Goal scoring was spread around the system this week, as only one prospect -- a forward, naturally -- scored more than one goal. Several players, however, had multiple assists for the week.

Leading the goal-scoring parade for Blues' prospects this week was Peoria centerman Nick Drazenovic. The Prince George, BC native found the back of the net three times in four games during the last seven days, during both Peoria victories in that span. The third-year pro picked up a goal on Feb. 23 against the Texas Stars, and scored twice at home on Feb. 26 against the arch-rival Chicago Wolves.

With the troika of tallies this week, Drazenovic has moved into Peoria's goal-scoring lead with 16. He was the only prospect in the system to light the lamp multiple times this week, but several of the single goals scored by other prospects were of equal importance.

Fellow Rivermen Chris Porter and Adam Cracknell picked up the game-winning tallies in each of Peoria's two wins over the last seven days. Porter accomplished the feat with an unassisted marker at 13:50 of the third period in the 4-3 win over Texas at Carver Arena on Feb. 23, and Cracknell's 11th goal of the season at 2:37 of the third capped a comeback from a 2-0 defecit to give the Rivermen a 3-2 win over Chicago on Feb. 26.

Across the pond, Simon Hjalmarsson picked up a power-play tally to win the only game played by Rögle BK this week, a 4-3 victory over HV 71 on Saturday. Tyler Shattock's organization-leading 27th of the year, a shorthanded goal, was the difference in Calgary's 4-2 win over Red Deer on the 2th, while Travis Erstad tallied unassisted in overtime to give Wisconsin-Stevens Point a 2-1 win over Wisconsin-Stout in a late game from Feb. 20.

Anthony Nigro of the Ottawa 67's (OHL) led the way in points this week, with five helpers in two games played, while James Livingston pitched in on three goals scored by his Plymouth Whaler teammates this past week.
