Sunday links: Team America vs. Canada. Let's do this edition
On Feb. 28, 1960, exactly 50 years ago if you don't have a calendar handy, Team America won it's first hockey gold medal. Twenty years later, the States got No. 2. Let's hope No. 3 comes today.

Overheard on the Team USA Bench
Callahan: So Eric what exactly does inglorious mean?
EJ: Well it means that he’s like so glorious he’s like in glorious.
Callahan: Woahh!
No one knows why, but second only to eating the brains of the living, the dead love affordable pre-fab furniture.
I realise I may be in the minority
But GOD I would LOVE to see Backes put his fist through Crosby’s skull. I hate that guy. Absolutely hate that guy.
Barret Jackman is my hero.
Fueled. These new shores burn. Shadow, my sweet shadow, to you I look no more.
Crosby and Malkin. Two girls, one cup.
Not really a fan of this quote re: USA success today
“You look at the opportunity we have in front of us, to win a gold medal. If all goes haywire, and we have a little snafu, we have a silver medal around our necks. We’d obviously love to have the gold. But either way, what pressure can you be under? You go out there and lay it on the line.”
Not afraid to nitpick
I was under the impression
It was a F U to Canada. Canada is under insane pressure to win this so I think this is just a little gamemanship.
He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
... Last game of the season ...
can’t hold anything back now !

Rubber Match?
The score is tied?!? Lets see, the World Juniors, which is filled with NHL Quality Talent, is equal to the Soccer Mom Olympics? I don’t think so.

Whatever it takes?
Make that the
The-2-team-not-even-going-to-be-included-next-time-snoozefest-of-a-Soccer-Mom-Olympics.
Whatever it takes?
One more Tidbit of information.
Just because i went and put the stats together, so I might as well share…
The US and Canadian Women’s Hockey Teams Outscored their opponents by a combined 86-4.
Seriously, they scored 86 goals in 8 games. At least these idiots could of done, is maybe not score 13 goals a game and make the sport appear competitive.
Whatever it takes?
how about some revenge?

You do that... you go to the box, you know. Two minutes, by yourself, you know and..... you feel shame, you know. And then you get freed.

Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
