Wednesday links: Making the playoff push is tough when the Blues don't play

The only way the Blues are going to make the playoffs is if they win games. They can't win unless they play. This mini-break is not helping things.

King d-man Matt Greene has no connection to the Blues — besides being a former member of the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux like TJ Oshie — but this video made me laugh. It starts slow, You can skip the first minute and just enjoy a funny dude.

Well, Slava's still kind of playing.

Anderson’s benching him because of a personal thing, because apparently that’s how the Thrashers can win – through the power of Todd White.

I’m getting damn tired of seeing someone with that kind of career and an A on his chest being treated like shit. Frankly, I’m getting kind of tired of JA.

Kind of surprised that Wheel of Morality hasn’t spun yet for Cooke.

Paul Kariya's hips don't lie and he's starting to feel it's right.

Yeeeeeeah.

He was really sharp last season, but this year he’s just dead weight. ATL’d never be able to dump his salary though.

He does come in handy around tax time. I think he’s the team’s accountant or something.

I'd say that thing's like a tribble...

… but I don’t know how much of a brain there is to control up there.

The Coyotes are only going to lose $20 this season. [Phoenix Business Journal]

Talk about taking it down to the gnats ass.

How in the hell are they going to determine what is a head shot. Especially when it comes taller vs shorter players.
A clean check can easily be a head shot next year. Almost every check Happy Meal takes is a shoulder to head hit.
So every time he’s checked it’s a head shot??
Maybe they should have a height range of 6-2 to 6-3

Hey, luv, my thoughts exactly.

“The NHL is finally going to do something about head shots” …

and, like everything else, it will fuck it up.
