Thursday links: Weren't the Blues in New York a week ago edition

If the Rangers never the Stanley Cup in 1994, it's hard to believe that Mike Keenan would've left New York for St. Louis. Fucking Rangers.

  • It's official: the Blackhawks are cursed. [Puck Daddy]

Bakon Vodka

They sell it at Fred’s Cheapo Depot for about $30. It tastes like the shredded beef jerky they sell in the fake chewing tobacco tins (if you ever had that). Its not awful in a bloody mary, but it is definitely not as good as I thought it would be.

I kind of assumed that'd be it's only real application.

That being said, bacon in a bloody mary is fantastic. So are pickled green beans – trust me on this one. Actually, pickled okra’s good in it too.

Been down here too long, but honestly, if it’s a pickled veggie, I’ll probably eat it.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?

Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.

Don Fehr????

Look, baseball damned near killed itself by canceling the World Series, and only recovered with the help of Big Mac, Sammy Sosa, and (ahem) steroids! The NHL already has blown off an entire season; and hasn’t recovered yet in some markets…

Yeah, I know, the owners are looking to a new CBA to protect themselves from themselves (Rangers, I’m lookin’ at you!), but we hockey fans don’t need another steekin’ work stoppage!

The Haves are only the best team in the NHL...

…when they’re playing the Blues.

Otherwise? Not even close…
