So, I know we all love our favorite big nosed Steenroller, but I just wanted to basically make it official. Alex Steen is the best player on the St. Louis Blues for the 2009-10 season, and here's why in "random factoid" form.
Alexander Steen leads the St. Louis Blues in goals with 23
Alex Steen is 2nd on the team (and first amont forwards) in +/- with a +9, trailing only Mike Weavers +10. Only 2 other Blues forwards have a + on ths season while playing more then 5 games: Brad Boyes and Brad Winchester.
Alex Steen is tied for the team lead in Power Play Goals with 6, and tied for 2nd in Power Play Points with 15.
I don't have the official stat, but I'm rather sure Alex Steen also leads the team in Shooting Percentage after his latest 2 goal game. He was trailing David Perron by .001
Alex Steen has compiled the above stats while only playing 62 games. That's 11 less then Andy McDonald our points leader (only 2 ahead of Steen at the moment), 10 less then TJ Oshie, 11 less then David Backes, 14 less then Perron, etc.
Basically, consider this little fanpost the Alex Steen Appreciation Station. Oh and for the record, fucking re-sign this kid Blues!
