You Know It's Finals Week When:
the Monday morning Game Time Links are posted before you go to sleep on Sunday night.
I know it's time for hockey because I've started singing "Don't Stop Believing" with the words "...born and raised in FUCK DETRIOT!!!"
radio claims that
stickland claims that
the blues claim that
plan a in net: mason/ conklin
plan b conklin/ bishop
so those of ya wanting the blues to splash in net this offie can back off the gas
granted that could be postering BUT if it is postering it seems to be of a sort to get mason to agree to a cheeper deal to stay in the loo not to attract a free agent or trade.

What did Einstein say about stupidity?
Repeating the same thing and expecting different results?
On the bright side, it sounds like I may not have to worry about Blues playoff games distracting me from finals when I’m trying to graduate next May.
I know it's time for hockey because I've started singing "Don't Stop Believing" with the words "...born and raised in FUCK DETRIOT!!!"
not sure what i am repeating
marleau and the shark’s prob added a million per to his deal so he is likely outside the blues grasp, but on the goalie front, i’ve stayed neutral. i know a lot of people expect a trade (or at least want a trade) and i’ve tried to confirm 590’s report about strickland reporting the Blues official net position but have been unable to.
but serioously does ANYONE here think plan b is a valid plan for a team needing to run in an even higher gear next season than they ran in this one? bishop has not dominated at the A. and while that got wamsley the short hair cut, it might get bish the big promotion? conklin has shown some ability to be solid for short streaches, but he had a few streaks of sub par play as well, and even when playing great for the wings he was not given the job in the playoffs.
i’d love to wait till the blues end game to start to worry. they got a lot to do and a long time in which to do it, and we all expect a lot of money to do it with, but postering the posibility of a conklin/bishop tandem for 2011 is, to me at least, worrisome.
and the fact that the needs are coming in the middle of perhaps the shortest and ugliest free agent market in decades has everyone scratching. on the post, for what it is worth the water cooler guys are not even close to agreement on what they think the blues should do POST STORY from getting dutchie back, to ignoring the market and do a single big trade, to getting more d-men. no one mentioned the net, but my reading of this site has me thinking that if we made a pol herel, goalie is the slot that would get the most votes for the position the blues should upgrade!
and misquoting mark twain on stupidity
First, God created idiots. That was just for practice. Then He created Blues general managers..

I’m fairly certain he was quoting Mark Twain with regards to the Blues hoping that 2 back-ups equal one decent goalie.
But I’ve been wrong before.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about
forgive the misquoting – as you can tell from my other comment, that was done on the tail end of an all-nighter.
I know it's time for hockey because I've started singing "Don't Stop Believing" with the words "...born and raised in FUCK DETRIOT!!!"
I love DP's goal as play of the year
But that Sedin goal was sick. He has major balls trying that move in real play.
So where's the link to the story/speculation re: Steve Pleau?

Dave Baseggio?
Not sure, actually… will have to check on him.
And if that’s a backhanded swipe at Steve Pleau, just because of who his father is — someone I know that you don’t like — I’ll just point out that Pleau the Younger has a fairly decent track record working with younger players in his capacity with the Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL).
I know it’s hip, trendy and cool to diss Larry Pleau, but I don’t think we should be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

WOW
how in the world would that be a back hand swipe at pleau when i never mentioned eitherone? take a chill pill dude. or get your glasses checked.
i asked cos this is not the first time the blues fired a peoria head coach for missing the playoffs, and on wamsley i think they acted in haste, the other guy i didnt know a lot about i just remember you were pretty adament that he was not the reason the rivermen failed. and that is the ONLY reason i asked.
it does actually make a little sense if steve is coming back into the fold. you shitcan a guy, or even give him a job set up to fail at, then bring in a good old boy to replace him.
steve pleau did not have a significanly better peoria run than most of the guys the blues firted having lost in 1st round with a superior team (to the blues’ eyes) , and he has been significantly under .500 since leaving the blues for the juniors. going 16-43 this season which is the worse season ever for that expansion team.
