Historical Friday?

The Philadelphia Flyers earned a huge win tonight to come back from down 0-3 in the series with Boston to tie it 3-3. Game 7 is on Friday and it has the chance to be a truly historical event. The last time an NHL team won a series after trailing 3-0 it was 1975 and it was the not-yet-a-powerhouse New York Islanders who did it.

Our buddy Dominik broke down that comeback a few days ago over at Lighthouse Hockey for you all to peruse. I know I'll be watching to see if the Flyers can be the third team in history to pull off the feat. It has been 35 years since we've seen it happen... if they can do it, would that make you a Philly fan for May?

Oh he's a fine player

I just don’t have a mancrush on him. I prefer to give my love to third-line defensive-minded centers.

My kid and I are with you.

For his birthday the Son of GT requested a new Blues jersey. Number 18, McClement.

I might copy off him and get one of my own; it looks awesome.

I'll be watching

and routing for Philly (which is odd for me since most of the fans make me want to go with Boston (I can actually draw alot of parallel’s between them and Detroit fans) but you gotta go with history.

Speaking of which when was the last time an 8th seed made the conference finals? Boy that East sure is wacky this year.

No one knows why, but second only to eating the brains of the living, the dead love affordable pre-fab furniture.

I actually dont mind the fans too much

i’ve been to Philly, I liked it more than New York, and it was full of drunk Italians, coming from The Hill you cant mind one of the few other cities outside of the Midwest to embrace toasted ravioli, get drunk, and cheer on their team a little too passionately

/
I havn’t had any exchanges with Flyers fans either, however, so I really cant say too much

I really hope the Habs...

beat whoever comes out of this series because I don’t think either of these teams will last more than 5 against either team from the West.

I think the Habs can go at least 6 or 7 against either of those two…

I have been rooting for Philly so far

although I must say, with the Pens losing, I wouldn’t mind seeing a Habs-Bruins conference final.

I know it's time for hockey because I've started singing "Don't Stop Believing" with the words "...born and raised in FUCK DETRIOT!!!"

The Hockey Gods don’t like me. If the Habs win, I’m never going to hear the end of it

At this point . . .

I’m rooting for mass destruction.

Go ahead, Flyers. Take this.

the funny part is...

the Eastern Conference winner would not’ve made the playoffs if they were in the Western Conference.

I think that's a testament to how craptastic the East was this year.

I can’t see any of the three standing taking out either the Sharks or the Blackhawks, unless Nabby has some huge meltdown.

Screw Philly – I would like to see a Habs/Bruins final, with the Habs moving on just to lose in the Finals. I’d kind of like to see what happens to the city of Montreal… it’s just a lot of morbid curiosity.

It would probably be destroyed. That and I’m still going to have to listen to “Habs are the best team in the league”

Fuck Pennsylvania teams.

Go Bruins, then Go Habs because they seem to be the better team.

I hate Hartlessnel. and I dislike Pronger.
So I root for Boston. Plus they got Mr. Shootout.
But overall, I am on board the Montreal Bandwagon now..
They grew on me this post season, especially after they
choked it up big time during their “100 year celebration.”
