Now let's even this thing up for the trip back to Philadelphia.
This is a last-minute GDT. We'll have links tomorrow.

I'm probably now a definite GO for the Weds meet-up.
Now that my sister (the one who is a big Hawks fan all of a sudden because she’s got a crush on Kane) is back from her Irish Dancing…Thingy, it’s become insufferable in this house.
It's a funny name.
Did you inform her of Kane’s Drinking problems and outlandish personality… the dude is a dick according to all of my Chicago buddies… he lost cute points when i heard that…

She's 13
and I’ve debated showing her the limo photos, but I ended up going with the “I’ll tell you when you’re older” defense.
(Hopefully, by that time she will have realized the error of her ways.)

She excuses it because he can't grow a playoff beard.
You can see why I try and spend as little time around her as possible. A further example of this is that my father/a friend and I always, like clockwork, play tennis from 8-9:30ish on Tuesdays. The reasons should be obvious.

Sadly, I know.
They started doing it at the ’91 (I think) ASG when the Gulf War started – they started cheering for the troops and it just kind of continued.

Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
It started during a playoff series with Toronto
The fans were so worked up before the game that they started cheering during the anthem. It just stuck with the fans and continued every game after.
I went to a fight the other night and a hockey game broke out.

Everyone says the Leafs are badly managed (mainly due to the JFJ era). The Panthers have consistently had bad managment for the last 10 years. They coulda had Nash and Eric Staal on the same team. Instead they traded down both times and got Jay Bouwmeester (now Calgary’s 3rd rounder) and Nathan Horton (who’s probably gonna be traded for Brian Rolston some scrubs and a 5th round pick). They also traded Luongo for Bertuzzi

The bandwagon Blackhawk fans are piling in there now. They all have their Chicago jerseys and hats but couldn’t name one Blackhawk line to save their souls. When they show old clips of hockey during intermission they get all confused about who the players are LOL.
Shit, when they showed Bobby Hull and Makita at the game most of these numb nuts didn’t even know who they were. Freaking amazing.
