In the Peoria article
We don’t need to fast-track players to the NHL as much as we did in the past

Other than a VERY few over the yrs mainly Oshie-Berg-Perron recently have been fast tracked. I think of those Berglund is the one that needed the AHL yr more and mainly due to cultural changes. Was EJ fast tracked? I guess when you compare him to others we’ve talked about recently he has been.
Does this mean Petro won’t be ‘up’ because he would be considered fast tracked?

peoria comments?

did anyone else read the comments on there?

Blockquoted paragraph"It’s not Wamsley’s fault that the players that HE DIDN’T SIGN sucked at the end. Why not give him a full season with brand new players? To me, that would say what kind of coach he is."

yes, lets abandon most of the draft picks we have had over the years to make sure PEORIA gets to the championships . . . newsflash, the Blues Organization has that name for a reason, you are a waiting room/training facility for the big show, and by and large probably lucky that there is a league to develop players in (especially one that pays them to play) I am all for them winning the championship, but they have to do it while still sacrificing for the betterment of the Blues. Now you may disagree w/ the draft picks, but to insinuate they are not strong players is BS. . .

Yeah they seem to not grasp the purpose

AHL teams is to develop the NHL’s talent, not to win championships. Most if not all the peoria players are the NHL blues property and just on loan down there until they are needed elsewhere.

Just because Jay McClement is the best defensive forward in the NHL doesn't mean he should win the Selke.

look the blues

actually get pissed at crappy peoria play and heads roll. wamsley ain’t the first axe to have fallen up there. i sometimes wish they would care as much about the blues not making it and some accountablity.

again, saying all that, gutting a guy with very little time at the helm or any team, and a team that was certianly not his from day one, seems knee jerk.

yea his team’s record was under .500 for 6 weeks or so, but remind me, didnt we trade away the teams captain, one of the goalies and the always shrinking aaron p, and a few others for garbage?

hey fire the guy in charge of trades too..

oh wait that would be pleau wouldn’t it?

How are the Habs this good?

All those banners in the rafters, and that “to you from failing hands we pass the torch; be yours to hold it high” stuff carries an awful lot of weight in this game…

Tradition and history matter.

I'm just more shocked that an 8th seed ...

Took out the No. 1 seed and is hanging with the best team left in the East. Didn’t expect them to be this good this year.

Actually...

The answer is “Jaroslav Halak is a big-game goalie.”

Well, yeah, there's that, too... :)

I'm going to guess the "Get Out Of There" video

was a tribute to the Sharks and their Game 4 experience at The Toolbag. Because they obviously . . . SERIOUSLY needed to get the fuck out of there.

By the way, I could watch that video all day if I had the time.

Kane is a douche.

And that’s all I’ve got to say about that.

Let's go Blues!!!
