Holy shit. Two deals in one day, and two deals that that the Blues have come out on top of.
Julian Talbot goes to Colorado for T.J. Hensick. Hensick could fill a roll for St. Louis next year.

Yay for not sitting on our hands!

I’m a big fan of Hensick… Honestly I like this deal for St. Luis even better than I do the Halak deal.

Well, I like it too

Not as much as the Halak deal, but no matter what, the Blues win here.
Talbot was never going anywhere with this organization was likely done with St. Louis anyway.

Hensick will be either a third line center/winger or a top line center in Peoria.
Talbot was a third liner in the AHL. I like it.

There’s the replacement for Eller in Peoria. I like Hensick a great deal, but unless he’s just balls in camp, I can’t see him cracking the NHL lineup… maybe as a wing on the fourth line.

Fourth liner.....

No good. He needs an offensive position in the NHL. He can post the points in an offensive position, he’s shown that.

I doubt he on the fourth line though.

As I just read from the Blue's report

Last season, Talbot had 32 points(17G, 15A) in 76 games. Hensick had 70 points (20G, 50A) in 58 games.

This isn’t a “trade.” The Blues MGMT are obviously black-mailing people.

Hensick wasn’t coming back to the Avs, and not just because he’s looking at a gaudy $900,000 qualifying offer. He had his opportunities and it didn’t pan out. He’s been passed on the depth chart and wouldn’t really have a chance to change that unless a bunch of people get hurt. The Avs cut their losses and Hensick gets a fresh start.

Hensick is not a 4th liner. Randall has it right – he needs to be on a scoring line to be valuable. I think he can still turn it around, but it won’t happen putting him on a checking line.

Are we collecting TJs again?

That is 3 for us now right? Lets just change everyone’s first name to TJ.

So far we got TJ x3, EJ, BJ, DJ...

Don’t forget Silent Jay, and now JH, too.

They need to trade for either PJ Stock or PJ Axelsson, and they’ll just about have the market cornered on J’s… kinda like I wanted to have back in high school. :-D

I actually like this trade alot

The boy needs to be on a scoring line though.
He’ll either replace Eller in Peoria or here.

The Mile High Hockey guys didn’t like him. Maybe he’ll get a fresh start from his nicknames:

So long Fat TJ, Hensuck, Benjamin Button, and Little Ball of Meh. Sad to lose so many nicknames.

We'll see where this one goes.

What I like...

is that the Blues are doing SOMETHING…the Halak deal is a reasonable gamble…so is this one…the Blues are never going to be able to throw around the big bucks, but there are other ways of improving a team…they seem to be going down that road…I approve, thus far.

only one big problem with this deal

HE IS A WINGS FAN!!!

but he is a good guy, i see him every once in a while in the off season. I bartend in a sports bar outside detroit where he grew up. Its great when he wears his colorado hat and some dumbass, bandwagon redneck wings fan comes up and talks shit asking why he has his hat on. Then there face when he says he plays for them and says is, that why u have a wings hat on. Cant wait for some inside info hopefully, maybe, please T.J if u read this u know who i am and free beer for blues players
