Come on Philly, you know what you have to do. Chicagoians can't be happy — it's just not right.

Look, all Casey Kasem wants, is a slow record to lead into a death mention. It's not too much to ask, is it?

Casey Kasem rules.
End of story.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
Chris Mason article on STLToday
So i was just over there and morons are over that comment on the story are trashing the Blues in the way they draft and sign players.
“Blues should have taken Kane over Johnson…what were they thinking?” That kind of stupid crap that shows these people don’t know a damn thing as Kane was taken a year later than Johnson.
Onto my point….I don’t have a problem with the Blues signing Mason. In fact, I think it makes sense as long as it’s a 2 year deal. Despite everyone saying goaltending matters, Niemi and Leighton are playing for the cup folks. You know who is also playing for the cup? Chris Pronger, Duncan Keith, and Brent Seabrook. My feeling on the matter is the defense in front of the goalie, is what makes the difference. I’m not dissing goalies in anyway, but at the NHL level, an average NHL goaltender (i.e. Chris Mason), will stop most shots that he can see, ones that aren’t being deflected, and not ones where a rebound goes out to an uncovered player from the back door. And who, ladies and gentlemen, control these events which most NHL goals are scored? Defensemen.
For me, Blues have done a great job of stocking up on defensemen prospects that have great upside. Once we get Petrangelo, Cole, Rundblad, etc up here and have these guys replace the Eric Brewers and Jackmans, the sooner we will be to being a Cup contender. Replacing Mason, with another guy that isn’t really any better, is just pointless. Luongo’s don’t grow on trees. The difference between one of the top 3 goalies and the rest of the pack is huge…unless you have one of those guys, have a guy like Chris Mason, and have a strong defense than can transition the puck. The teams that have won the Cup have one or the other. Through drafting, you can get these type of defensemen; the Blackhawks have (see Keith, Duncan and Seabrook, Brent) and have gotten to the finals with a no-name goalie that they just about cut prior to the season.
Just had to vent a bit. I hate ignorant bandwagon Blues fans that want to jump ship because we missed the playoffs this year. Have patience folks…good things come to those who are.
Fuckin up tempo records. Classic meltdown from Casey
Back in my aircrew daze spent many a long night on a flightline overseas listening to Casey’s countdown and Charlie Tuna. Anybody remember Charlie Tuna? Good ole AFRTS.
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
I remember hearing the name Charlie Tuna, but not on AFN
…AFN, the All-Fucked Up Network.
When I was over in Deutschland during the Reagan Administration (about which I’ve promised to say absolutely nothing), I swear to God that AFN played “I Just Called To Say I Love You” about every fifteen minutes. Either that, or that Katrina And The Waves crap.
Spent a lot of time blasting Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd out of the barracks window.

AFN? Armed Forces Network?
That’s what I meant i think
AFRTS was the TV program wasn’t it?
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
Charlie Tuna was Casey Kasum's annnoucer
He is a DJ out out Los Angeles. I think he had a show too on AFN, I remember listening to him spin records at midnight chow at Ramstein AFB. He also did some announcing for several big TV shows. If you heard his voice you’d know it.
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
What do I have to sacrifice to appease the hockey Gods to not let the Shitcago Fhawks win the cup?
Speak to me hockey gods, speak to me.
Why is patience a virtue and procrastination a sin...I mean whats wrong with patiently procrastionating?
I think I'll be skipping J Bucks for the draft thingy.
As promising as a bar full of hot, sweaty dudes trying to get a seat and served at the bar amongst the crowd, I’ll probably choose something else to do.
