STL Media Madness: The Bracket Revealed

Blues broadcaster and big fan of the McRib Chris Kerber faces off against St. Louis sports broadcasting icon Frank Cusumano in the first round of our Media Madness.

As we mentioned earlier this week, we have built a field of 32 broadcasters, writers, commenters and other media people who cover the Blues in some fashion in the St. Louis media.

Yes, summer truly sucks for hockey fans.

But back on point, we have spent probably way too much time putting together this bracket and trying to decide how to match up all of these media folk to abandon this now. Feel free to bash our seedings, but know that the top seeds were all given to people who spend the most time covering the Blues. We have tried to divide up the media as best as we can, with at least one TV broadcaster, one print journalist and one radio broadcaster in each group. Despite the strength of the top four seeds, there are plenty of opportunities for upsets along the way, especially in the first round.

Beginning Monday you will see regular posts announcing each matchup, with a brief resume for each contestant and then a poll for you to vote for your favorite contender. Feel free to try to swing votes towards your candidate in the comments, as the poll will only be open for 24 to 48 hours.

Some technical difficulties are preventing me from posting a picture of the bracket here, but click the link below to see the first round matchups.
