Looking Ahead (Briefly) To The 2011 Draft

Stay connected for news and updates

Since the Blues' organizational preference for college-bound players and Americans looks likely to continue under the Armstrong/Taylor regime, here's a guy to keep an eye on for the 2011 Entry Draft.

Omaha Lancers' (USHL) power forward Seth Ambroz was recently named by DJ Powers of "Hockey's Future" -- who knows her stuff -- as the early favorite to be the top-ranked college-bound player eligible for the 2011 Draft. A 6'3, 205-pound winger from New Prague, Minnesota, Ambroz scored 22 goals (11 on the power play) and was a plus-24 for the Lancers last season, his second in the USHL. An April 1993 birthdate, Ambroz has verbally committed to the University of Minnesota for the 2011-12 season.

Definitely a guy I'll be keeping an eye on for next year's draft. I'll be posting some more previews over the next few weeks as well.
