Saturday Links: Surviving the news shortage with more animal videos edition
Time to click stuff? Hell, why not?
Blues News:
- After combing the internet, there's not much to report on for the Blues.
NHL News:
- More bad news for the Hawks: The Blackhawks were in the red last season, financially speaking. They wear red jerseys, so they were in the red in the other sense, too.
- That Forechecker fella down in Nashville certainly loves schedule analysis: The 10 toughest back to back games in all the land.
- The Islanders made two moves, placing Brendan Witt on waivers (buyout likely) and acquiring D-man James Wisniewski from the Ducks.
- Battle of Cali has their take.
- Down Goes Brown lets us in on the other player grievances besides the Kovy Kontract.
- Speaking of Ilya's inking with the Devils, the NHLPA and NHL have agreed on an arbitrator.
Other Stuff:
- Shark Week is next week. None of you are as excited as I am.
- Not even the Captain Planet and the Planeteers can solve the disaster in the gulf.
Video:
The gang down at the Links Factory Joe and I don't know when to let a good thing go. Animal week continues with Batman Dog.
Sunday links will be intriguing. And by intriguing I mean I'll be doing them after getting back into my hotel room in a hammered state from a buddy's wedding reception. Let's hope I can get some free Schlitzeses.

As a German, and a beer lover...
…I wouldn’t even drink a free Schlitz.
Might as well lap lady piss out of the toilet like a dog.

hearing rumblings
of Tarasenko to the NHL? thoughts?
Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky was in a production of The King and I? Well anyway, before the show, Brasky chloroforms the entire cast, and slowly eats them in front of the audience for two hours. The production got pretty good reviews.
Already?
I’m no TB, but I doubt he’s ready for the big club just yet, and frankly I’d much rather him spend another year, maybe two in the KHL against their top flight players than keep him in Peoria. Just my two cents.
I know it's time for hockey because I've started singing "Don't Stop Believing" with the words "...born and raised in FUCK DETRIOT!!!"

It seems pretty much decided that he's playing for Sibir Novosibirsk this year, at least...
Next year (2011-12), who knows at this point.
T-90 was supposedly angling hard to buy out his contract and come over this year, but the Blues (by rule) aren’t allowed to do it for him, nor are they allowed to front him the $$$ to do it.
As J-Mill says, another year in the KHL is probably just as good for him as a year in the AHL. Bring him to camp next fall and figure on him making the NHL right out of camp as a 19-year-old, a la David Perron.

The “Comb The Desert” scene of Spaceballs is one of the most underrated scenes of that entire movie, methinks.
