I would love this
but sadly I just don’t see it happening. They’ve pretty much said that they were all done for this year, which sucks.
No one knows why, but second only to eating the brains of the living, the dead love affordable pre-fab furniture.
My answer to any signing has pretty much been if we demote Winchester we will have room on the fourth, thats about it.
He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
Just because Jay McClement is the best defensive forward in the NHL doesn't mean he should win the Selke.
Old man past his prime
Check.
Next please.
St. Louis Game Time Fact: Morning links are part of a well-balanced meal.
SBNSTL Writing about the Blues in more than one line is tough.
Just curious...
Have you ever agreed with me on anything?
I’m starting to feel like the older, wiser (?) half of the old SNL “Point/Counterpoint” bit… Joe, you ignorant, misguided slut. :)
Just for the record, I’d rather have Stempniak, too… but I’m pretty sure that Guerin would cost less, not want a long-term deal, still has gas left in the tank, and has Cup-winning experience that Dutchie does not have yet.

...and Dutchie makes a got dayum liar outta me.
Does the Phoenix GM have pictures of Stempniak with a one-eyed hooker, or what? I can’t believe that the Blues couldn’t / wouldn’t offer him a better deal than $1.9MM a year for two-three years…

Not so fast
Billy G has that vet presence and grit we need for a cup run. I was hoping the Blues would get him back when he went FA.
[raising walker over head and tossing oatmeal] Go Billy G!!!
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
I would not be opposed.
Someone’s gotta take #13. Notice we didn’t make the playoffs without a #13 last year?
And since Hinote’s off banging his hot wife . . . Guerin seems to be our best option. And I liked him for the five minutes he was here.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
I don't see BillG accepting any offers from the STL.
He’s at the career stage where he’ll take a cheap deal with a bona fide Cup contender. Sadly, that ain’t the Note in 2010-11.
Never say “never,” mein freund…
I honestly believe that the Blues can contend this year, with or without Guerin.
Look what a hot goalie did for the Flyers last year… are you tellin’ me that the Blues aren’t at least as talented as the Flyers, a team that the Blues outpointed while playing in a much tougher conference, with a more demanding travel schedule?
If Michael friggin’ Leighton can take a mediocre team to the Stanley Cup final, what can a better goalie do with a team that is at least as good?

If the Blues played in the East, I'd be a lot more optimistic.
I do have the irrational inkling that they’ll surprise a lot of people – after all, it is an x0-x1 year – but I don’t think the overall team defense is yet developed enough to handle the full onslaught of the entire Western Conference.
EJ should be really coming into his own by the end of the season, but Pietrangelo will probably need another season under his belt. I think that the Blues’ decision a year ago to run with Sydor and send AP back to juniors is going to hurt them this season.
If Guerin decides to wait until midseason, and if the Blues bolt out of the gate, then him signing here becomes much more likely.

But... but... but... the all-knowing, all-wise Andy Strickland Tweeted that Guerin was talking to the Blues...
…it HAS to be true. I read it on teh Intarwebz, and Andy Strickland wouldn’t lie, or spread some cock-and-bull story that had no substance to it whatsoever, just to drive traffic to his Tweets… would he?

Thanks but no thanks.
This is like getting back with an old ex-girlfriend. She may have “experience” in the “locker room” but it’s time to give the younger ones a look.
Hmmm, this analogy is not working and totally working for me at the same time…
Anyhoo, been there, done that, let’s move on.
