Saturday Links: Possibly maybe potentially the end of Kovywatch Edition
Reports abound concerning the star winger and the Devils reaching an agreement that the NHL approves of. Not sure when we'll find a confirmation but it's a good bet it'll find its way into the comments or this post via the ol' Edit button.
And let's all hope Averagejoe celebrated his birthday in style and didn't end up like Nik Khabibulin. Hope those Schlitzeses were good. This blog is a better place with you aboard.
Blues News:
- You'd think so, but there ain't a damn thing.
NHL News:
- Could it? Would it? Might the Kovalchuk saga finally be over!??!?
- Nikolai Khabibulin has been found guilty on three charges relating to an extreme DUI.
- Paul Kariya won't be playing anywhere next season due to Post Concussion Syndrome. Hey, I'm a PCS of sorts, too!

Unfortunate about Paulie.
Why was he allowed to finish the season after the hit if he were post-concussive? Odd.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
I wonder about that too.
And since this is now his second bout with Post Concussion Syndrome, I wonder if his career is over.
At least he got paid before he walked out the door, if that indeed is the case. Too bad it had to be us.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
what is slightly odd
is i thought paulie was looking to sign. so did he have issues with an off season regiment and shut himself down or did he get an offer and came in to see a team doctor somewhere?
paulie’s had em before so he should be familiar wirth the symptoms…

Paulie was never the same after Stevens laid him out
He seemed to shrink away from another whammy when anyone would line him up. I’m surprised he made it this far.
Luved PK when he made the magic with Teemu, it was sumpin to behold.
Fave PK moment with the Ducks, PK’s flying down LW, right as he crossed the blueline he tapped the puck on edge and then drove a nasty knuckler past the poor bewildered goalie. Never seen anyone do that before or since. Try tapping a puck on edge at full speed sometime and you’ll see how impossible it is and then try and get a slapper off.

Khabibulin gets jailed for "Extreme DUI"
I keep picturing Extreme DUI as driving a car that’s on fire out the back of an airplane, parachuting to the ground, taking some sweet jumps and curves at 120mph…
… and driving right towards David Backes, who’s ready for oncoming traffic, using only his mind.
Because you have to be really fucking drunk to take on David Backes using only a car that’s on fire and gravity.

Huh. That does strikethrough instead of underlining.
