early monday games?
was looking at the schedule for this upcoming season and saw two different dates that the blues play at 1:00 pm on a monday at home. the first is Oct 11th, against anaheim, and the second is Feb 21st against chicago. are those both holidays that i'm unaware of or something? link to blues season schedule here.
fuck chicago, fuck detroit, and fuck 1pm weekday games, IMO. oh, and fuck kovalchuk too. sign already ya douche.

Holiday Hockey, apparently.
That’s Columbus Day and President’s Day.
Sometimes, I wonder why hockey came south of St. Louis, and then I realize, I'm south of St. Louis. Coincidence, I think not.
Just no Beer at the Monday games
Game startes at 1 – done by 3:30…get home by 5…sleep until 9/9:30…pick up taco bell on the way to the office at 10:30 and survive a 10 hr day with 5hr energy
What Will in STL said.
Of course, since these holidays aren’t recognized by the Lord Almighty (or for whatever excuse they’re giving this week, anyway), my office doesn’t GET those days off. But I guess enough people do, to make it worth the schedule-maker’s while to give Monday afternoon games on both dates. To which I say . . . fuck you, boss. And fuck you, NHL schedule-makers.

Oct 11th
is Canadian Thanksgiving. So all our friends up north will have the day off to drink rye and cokes and watch hockey. Now why two American teams are playing mid day in St. Louis is baffling, but I assume it has something to do with Betteman and David Stern’s bet that Gary Betteman can get away with any asinine decision without repercussion.
ah the good ol days

My professor
Actually canceled class for October 11th so people could go to the game. Awesome.
I now officially ban the Illinois State Fair for letting the Hawks "fans", celebrate winning the cup!
