Wednesday links: Wishing Mike Weaver well in South Beach edition
Mike Weaver is leaving the Blues on good terms. I hope Panthers' fans (fan?) learn to love the Lilliputian defensman with the extra-long stick.

Videos
First video today, a tribute to Mike Weaver. The Patrick Sharp hit gets the love, as well it should, but leveling King Douchebag Sean Avery deserves a spotlight.
Second Chris Gift, via PCS, wants some urinal sliding. I'll oblige.
That's it from me. Maybe the Media Madness will return. I think Brad is still alive. Hopefully.

Re: Urinal trough diving . . .
The folks at Wrigley Field are dumbshits. Probably because they’re Cubs fans.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
Well, that pretty much goes without saying, doesn't it?

And quote...
Sharks fans try to get excited for the Jamal Mayers Era. Here’s some advice: He’s going to play good D and shoot right at the chest of the goalie.
Don’t forget his ability to speed down ice, recover a puck to prevent an icing…and immediately cough it up every god damn time.
Can you tell I’m not, nor have I ever been, a J-May fan?
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
I loved me some Jamal Mayers.
I have never heard the Kiel rocking as loudly as it did when Mayers scored the equalizer in the third period of Game 4 of the ’01 WCF. If the Blues had managed to win that game, it would have ranked right alongside the Monday Night Miracle.
(Stupid fucking overtime; stupid fucking Turek.)
Also a fan of Jammer.
For no real reason other than . . . if I had that skill-set, I could have done what he’s done in the NHL and have been proud of myself. And been paid. That too.
Jammer has always has struck me as the kinda guy I’d like to hang out with and be on my side if shit went down. He was, for whatever reason, my favorite Blue when he was with the Blues.

No more Dream Weaver
Great effort on the PK. Salute with a Henry Weinhart’s Root Beer

Bad Yearbook photos? My freshman year pic was so bad I carved it out of my yearbook. Mattted dog hair look like I slept on it from the humidity, pulling a doofus face, mouth all agape. I wasn’t even stoned in the pic but pop thought I was on dope that day.
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
Mirtle tweet
“Blackhawks have signed forwards Evan Brophey, Nathan Davis and Hugh Jessiman, defenceman Jassen Cullimore, and goaltender Hannu Toivonen.”
Bwaa-haa-haa-haa!! Haa!!
This summer just keeps getting better.
Blackhawks are to be despised; Red Wings to be hated; and their fans to be ridiculed.
HA.
Yeeeeeeeeeeah, Turco and Toivonen. If Turco has another down year, they are sooooo screwed.

Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
So, who will pair with Colaiacovo now?
Wasn’t it usually Weaver who paired up with Cola on the defense side of the team?
Good steal for Peoria
Mink’s a solid player, something fun for the fans in Peoria to watch. He make the big-boy club, though.
Not a real daring prediction, but hell, why not
"Everyone knows everybody loves fights. They better start listening to the people who are at the game and pay the money than the twits upstairs who get in for free."
Best of luck to Weaver
And here’s to all that gorgeous snatch in FLA

ding!
Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky was in a production of The King and I? Well anyway, before the show, Brasky chloroforms the entire cast, and slowly eats them in front of the audience for two hours. The production got pretty good reviews.

Just because Jay McClement is the best defensive forward in the NHL doesn't mean he should win the Selke.
