Friday links: Checking out early edition
Not much going on with the Blues and I'm going on vacation after work today, so I'm feeling lazy. Thus, open thread. Today's topic: What's your favorite vacation memory. And ... go.
Here's your video from Dan. More Primus.
F-U Friday should be up later. Poor College Student has the weekend shift and someone will be here on Monday. Who really knows. In the meantime, send stuff to gametimelinks(at)gmail.com

I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate Ancient Mesoopotamia.
The first month of material I have to teach is so dull. And I have 35 kids in a class – with 29 desks. I’m not a math teacher, but…
Anywho, I don’t want them sitting on the floor where the mold lives, and I’m pretty sure their parents don’t, either.

Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
That sounds pretty fun. Well, fun compared to the stuff i’m learning (Organic Chemistry, genetics)

Eww, organic?
I have a friend who failed that class about 3 times.
As much as I hate what I’m teaching in world, I always have AP Psych to keep me entertained, thank GOD.

It’s mainly because I know alot about it, and it’s relatively easy for me. Everyone hates how I know my organics very well.

Hire yourself out.
Seriously – there’s money to be made tutoring people less organically endowed than you are.

"Jerry was a race car driver. 22 years old.
Had too many cold beers one night And wrapped himself around a telephone pole."
Les Claypool has to be one of the greatest bass guitarists I’ve ever heard. Still quite partial to P-Nut from 311 though.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
But..
is he as wacky and have lyrics like Les?
(I honestly don’t know, don’t listen to much 311).
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
I doubt it - he just plays the bass.
And plays it very well.

Favorite vacation memories
My dad had a small cabin up in Harford County (about 1 hour drive from our house in Baltimore) that we would go to every so often in the summer time. The cabin was about 5-10 minutes from the MD/PA border, so we would go to there on a Friday night, Saturday morning we all would go to Hersheypark, then go back to the cabin for Saturday night and go home Sunday.
Oh did I mention the place had no running water except for a little shower, so we had to bring these HUGE cans of water up the hill to use there.
I could go on and on about the place, I LOVED it as a kid and wish dad never sold it years ago, would have loved to take Zachary there

Have a great vacation
Sent a drunk animal link last wk? Maybe?
Maybe it’s more appropriate for a weekend.
Maybe I missed it?
Maybe it didn’t make the cut? I’m not good at this.

I am currently on holiday up in the north east…had my 1st Yuengling yesterday…holy shit!!!! I am going to bring back 4 cases of the shit. It was like liquid gold, and sex.
They don't have Yuengling there?
Heck, we can even get it here. Love all their kinds of beer – their light’s outstanding. Doesn’t taste like water, unlike some other brews…

I've never seen Yuengling west of Pennsylvania.
Had some (too much, but not nearly enough, if you know what I mean) several years ago, when I went to Harrisburg on a business trip. Mmmmm, tasty.
Huh.
I thought they expanded, but I guess that they just expanded downward and not westward, like they really probably should’ve.

They have a brewery in Florida.
I’ll tell you one thing about living in France… the local brews are awful. Wine’s great, but I miss good beer.
Eww, French beer.
I loved the food and wine in France when I visited, though. It was nice to have normal portion sizes and not greasy stuff.

His cousin lives in DC area and came into town this week. Brought him 2 cases.
He is in heaven.

i may not come home from this one, friends. fingers crossed that i’m back sunday commenting my life away.
Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky was in a production of The King and I? Well anyway, before the show, Brasky chloroforms the entire cast, and slowly eats them in front of the audience for two hours. The production got pretty good reviews.
Going back to the Ozarks this weekend
Which is why Joe will be bringing you weekend linkage and I’ll be picking his Thursday and Friday shifts up.

Fucking backsliders
I gotta work a booth this weekend Fri-Sun. Bass Pro kicks off their Fall Classic and our local bow shoot in the high mtn pines of Jenks Lake. Doing the dog n pony show and teaching chillens about the outdoors. [sigh] If I only could afford to hire some booth babes.
Maybe the falconer will show up in the booth next to me and his hawk can blow that white shit all over my booth again. When them birds poop, I’m hear to tell you it’s projectile poop. Cans of paint dropped from a 20 foot ladder don’t asplode as bad.
