Well I can point out at least 3 artists on that list of 11 . . .
whose careers never were quite the same after rejecting Weird Al.
Plus one who should never, ever, Ever, EVER fucking make music. (Goddamnit, Yoko!)
My point? Let Weird Al parody your song. Which most do. For every Prince, there’s about 4 Nirvana’s
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
More Halak

Checking Espn
There is a blurb on their NHL page with this
“The St. Louis Blues are a young squad with a lot of offensive promise, but E.J. Hradek and Puck Prospectus wonder if goaltending will cause problems in 2010-11.”
I can’t read the whole story cause its insider but someones rockin the fuckin ganje. Even if Halak is just alright Conklin is actually an incredibly solid goaltender as well so goaltending is sure as sweaty balls not something im worried about.
and Matt Barnaby tweeted this 4 minutes ago.
“Watch out for the big brown sharkRt I got McDonnnalds..I got McDonnnnalds….you can’t afford it……cuz yo mama’s on the welfare!”

He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
Just because Jay McClement is the best defensive forward in the NHL doesn't mean he should win the Selke.
Man I had to go look for the video
of the presser. Did I miss the link?
Comments on it.
Halak looked scared shitless at the beginning.
I liked how Checketts told Kerbs he expected him to buy 4 season tickets. I wonder if he went right over after the press conf and did that. If so, I’m sure he’ll be spreading those around. Use them as trivia gifts on KMOX.
Kerbs not everyone looks good with a shaved head.
The Blues better hope that the girlfriend Petra likes St Louis.
I thought Checketts put a lot of pressure on Halak by saying he was a “blockbuster” trade and ‘a very key guy on a team that is designed to bring great things to St Louis.’
Next-does anyone have a link to the video that JD was talking about? I assume it’s the same Dan alluded to with a compilation of great saves. Maybe that was why he looked so scared. Maybe he thinks that’s expected every night or ‘how can I live up to that?
Maybe they should’ve thrown in a few misses too.
Interesting comment that JD says he has a sense of humor. I guess seeing him so serious sitting there he wanted to show people another side.
It was nice to see him crack a smile as he was putting on the jersey. Even for the official picture right after they presented the jersey he only had that little half smirk. I guess that’s just his picture face.
Holy Halak?? Sorry, I don’t think it’s going to make it Kelly.

I guess it’s hard to tell since everyone has a different personality etc. but being there in person I didn’t think he seemed nervous at all. He didn’t really seem excited either, just sort of serious and businesslike. He didn’t smile much at all, just a couple times when jokes were made. But he was very patient with the fans and happily (well, he looked less happy and again more serious) signed everything, got pictures taken, etc.
Like I said in another thread… the dude just arrived the night before. He has been really busy since last week.
He has been in st. louis less than 2 days…So I give him some slack there.
Like BlueMonday said, he was very patient and willing to sign and take photos with fans.
Still can’t believe he gave JD a hard time about his 1st game in Montreal (an 8-0 loss in ’73).
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
Watching the today show
Sugarland has the Friday concert.
There was a woman in the crowd with a Blues third jersey with Halak on it !!!!!!!!

Tarasenko Update!
The KHL regular season has been going for about three days now (including the ‘Opening Cup’), and Vlad’s team HC Sibir Novosibirsk has played back to back games against Amur Khabarovsk, winning 5-2 and 3-2. Tarasenko has scored once in each game, leading his team in goals (although it’s only two games into the season, it feels good to say Tarasenko is on a goal-per-game streak).
Highlights:
http://livetv.ru/en/showvideo/35097_amur_sibir/ (First game, Tarasenko goal starts at 2:41).

Let me know if the links give any trouble!
