2. Jaroslav Halak is not the savior.
A NON- BELEIVER!!! KILL THE HEIRITIC!!!
While it may not be 31 goals worth, I think there’s something to be said about the confidence a more stable backstop will give the club. They won’t have to worry near as much about protecting them selves from the Chris Mason Soft Goal of the NightTM, so they can go about their business in the offensive zone and maybe take a few more chances than they would’ve last year.
I know it's time for hockey because I've started singing "Don't Stop Believing" with the words "...born and raised in FUCK DETRIOT!!!"

Masonry mentioned the importance of not letting in soft goals at the last minute of a game last night...

Erik's yoga photo on pg 5
My first thought was that he looks like a baby sitting on the carpet in his diaper.
i'm thinking
the top photo on the article page is erik recreating an infamous golfcart moment.
but this all brings to mind one burning question,
just what are the top 11 yogi positions of nfl hockey players?
the hook n go?
the long post?
the clutch and grab?

A Yoga magazine
based in St Louis area and she’s obviously not a hockey fan. It’ll never be in my house!!
OMG the stuff Sutter did and he didn’t go to a dr for 2 weeks? Does this make him awesome or an idiot? That is some pain threshold.
I think the Blues getting into the playoffs is a toss up. We are in a VERY tough western conf. I wonder with this youngish team what will happen if we’re just on the cusp and that ‘pay the other half when we make the playoffs’ is hanging over their head. Will they be gripping that stick tighter? I know it’s only a few hundred tickets but that’s still a chunk of change.
Great to hear Mandi Schwartz got the transplant, fingers crossed, now the waiting begins. It’s amazing that such a possibly life saving procedure is as simple as an IV.
Nice insight on Perron. While he may be only 22yo he has learned 2 lessons:
Don’t burn bridges and
If you can’t say something nice…
I think with Payne’s attitude of letting them play how/where they play best, within reason, Perron and a few others will have a breakout season. At the same time the ‘kids’ probably learned some valuable lessons from Murray that will come in handy as their careers progress.
Some of those pics were ingenuity at it’s best, others maybe not so much

Who wrote that downer 1, 2 & 3 why my beloved Blues WON'T make the playoffs?
I was at my local grocery store and saw 2 pre-season mags on the NHL. The Hockey News had the Blues 6th and some other rag had them 13th. I hate the way they put a “local” cover on those things. I was stuck seeing Mike Richards in the horrible orange sweater.
What does the World-Cup predicting squid predict?
Jaro’s an inprovement but I expect 10-11 will be more like 09-10 than not.
The unpredictability of the development of Blues’ young skaters makes predicting their performance difficult. Blues still lack scoring. Happy Meal’s a fine player, but I don’t think of him as a #1 center. Accordingly, so unless someone steps up and becomes an undisputed first line scorer, the Blues’ll lurk around the cusp of the playoffs and either just make it into post season play where they’ll be the same unpredictable entity, or just fail to qualify and have a(nother) non-lottery pick in the 2011 draft.

Yoga Magazine Article
Here is the first sentence of the Erik Johnson article, “When one thinks of a formidable NFL Hockey player, the image that first comes to mind might be power, strength, and intense focus. Those are the same qualities found in someone who practices Pilates.”
Yes, I think of NFL hockey players all of the time.
A little bird has told me...
…the the new intereim CEO of the Blues is a Game Time fan.
Take that info for what you wish.

Then he has my vote to no longer be "interim" and just be "CEO".
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
tonights game
will be aired on tape delay on nhl network at 11 PM… and if you dont have that channel (like me) go buy some tickets and fill the building tonight
and to the moron that wrote the article on why we wont make the playoffs… youre just an idiot.. that is all
the only thing that does scare me that might lead to our team collapsing and missing the playoffs is the whole front office situation.. i really am getting nervous about this… new GM (which was in the work i undersatnd that), new CEO now, the owners want out… this to me is leading us down a very bad path… we should be on the up swing and all that is making me worry and think we might be right back where we started
If you have a donkey and i have a chicken and your donkey ate my chickens feet what would you have.... 2 feet of my cock in your ass!! haha
and to the moron that wrote the article on why we wont make the playoffs… youre just an idiot.. that is alli totally see your side now, what with all the facts you presented.

I have to decide
do I listen to KMOX live at work or catch the replay when I get home and I can see what happens.

Brian Sutter is still a badass.
Chuck Norris once looked up “tough” in the dictionary. He found a photo of Brian Sutter. The photo kicked Norris’s ass, just to prove its point.
Hard as a coffin nail that Sutter
I had a friend who died from a collapsed lung, Sutter’s lucky he made it.
Also in my top 5 of “March Or Die” awards is the dude last year who played a NHL playoff game while passing a kidney stone. Can’t remember who it was, someone on the Flyers or Rangers I think it was. Most folks like me just roll around on the floor begging to be shot when passing them dayum things. I can’t imagine suiting up and taking a shift with that stabbing pain in your flank.
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
News about Dish Net(doesn't)work
The BND ended their Blues CEO story with McCarthy stating that “things remain at a stalemate for the second straight year”… Some Blues games are not available to veiwers with a Dish Network subscription.
“We’re innocent bystanders in this debate, but it’s one of the things that I wanted to focus on much directly now that I’m in this seat”
It’s at the end of the article: http://www.bnd.com/2010/09/24/1412392/blues-make-changes-in-front-office-html
Sorry, bad link
I need some remediating on my shikills
So in other words, it might get resolved?
Which is better than what WAS happening under Peter McLoughlin, I suppose.

With the comment that the Blues are a "spectator"...
… it sounds like their contract with FSMW doesn’t give them any authority to insert themselves into the situation. Which is probably an oversight that they’ll address the next time the rights come up for bidding.
