Boyes Knocks Harding Out For The Year
Harding tears ACL, MCL in collision with Boyes last night; out for the year.
I was there last night, saw Boyes get tripped into Harding, but I had no idea he was hurt that badly. I honestly thought that Harding had just had his bell rung but good by hitting the back of his head on the ice or on the post.
Hope he can come back stronger, as I really like this kid.

stuff and nonsense
1) sorry to see that video. hard luck that, and as always, undeserved—- a career in peril because of a standard hockey push.
2) i could make the joke about this being karma since wasn’t hardin the goalie so mean he once shot a winger just for snoring?
3) i like 6 degrees of seperation,. i strongly suspect i can get anyway from any web link like those provided by brian and thesystm. i often end up somewhere very strange 20 minutes after popping a game time link/ and i probably didnt start out somewhere all that sane..
a) the wild bloggers don’t seem to like stoner. the difference is stoner is a 9 game vet, was a third round draft pick, and was paired with a kid during the preseason game the blues took him to school and then left him with the clown who owns the van with the blacked out windows. , not good to be sure, but look who the blues fans are up in arms against. ah to be concerned with third round picks who might be a 6th d man.
b) worse, is carey price news the wild boys warned me i couldnt read it, but even babel fished it is scary — latendresse taking heat for defending a FORMER team’s franshise goalie who is repeatedly booed.. THAT is a situation of contention. did the habs make the right goal choice? i guess we hope they did not, but Price is right up there now, and how can you have a subsection loud enough to tick off non-hab players intent on booing your team’s starting goalie before game one of the season?
1) yes lalime made me so ill i did a toliet tribute to him, but i certainly didnt plan to be sickened by his play, nor did i assume the blues didnt do due diligence when they got him (he had a very long record of being very streaky).
2) the blues have had some historical goalie failures of late, or at least failures that have been placed at the goalie’s skate, but when was the last blues netminder signed that you just wanted to kill before the start of a season?
3) it just seems very scary to be a fan of a team that has a goalie under siege before a single puck of importance hits the ice. I can’t image it, and it makes me mildly more appriciativ ofe the blues’ offseason (lack of) moves.
c) i wonder if we listed the 30 team’s blog-a-verse whipping boys we would have an appriciation of brewer?

not sure how that's good news for St Louis
Bad news for Harding for sure, but not many Blues fans would consider the Wild to be much of a rival.

Wild backup goalie Josh Harding has torn the ACL and MCL in his right knee
Boyes was aiming for Harding’s left knee, and, well…

Sucks for the Wild(s).
I would be laughing out loud if this were Howard. Why? Because Detroit can go suck my dick. Minneapolis actually has hockey fans that are legitimately devastated with this news. Sure, the team wasn’t going to amount to much this season, but still . . . gots to suck for Minnesota.

from an optimistic standpoint
maybe Backstrom views this as motivation and stands on his head all season with the team on his back.. not sure how that’d work with gravity and all but you get my drift.

Agreed
If it were Detroit, Chicago et al then I’d be doing the Nelson laugh.
But I always liked Harding – and I have no issue with Minnesota at all. Damn shame – isn’t he heading for free agency next season? (and yeah – I’m back after various “issues”!!)

I have to assume you've never torn your ACL
I wouldn’t even wish that on a douche like Tootoo or Kronwall. Shit hurts something awful.

I think the worst I've done is bust my knee off concrete from a second-story fall.
Which took about a month to recover from, but really never fully healed.
It’s easier to stomach, though, when entities that I detest get the bad luck of such a tear.
