Halak Press Conference.
I was fortunate enough to be able to take a long lunch today to go see the Blues introduce our savior new starting (and #1) goalie #41 J. Halak. After the press conference, he posed for pictures and signed autographs before the MSM took him away for their Q&A. After that, he stuck around until every single fan had a picture or autograph.
Granted, it wasn't the 5000 he dealt with a few days ago in Montreal, but he took the time for all in attendance to meet him
Now, it's hammer time... picture time.
For those that are in the St. Louis area. I was also on KSDK Channel #5 news getting this pic taken.
It MIGHT re-air at 10pm tonight. I will sign autographs later.
BTW, I met an old friend at the press conference as well. BlueMonday.
I met him in Sweden during the NHL Premiere trip.
See? (and Gerald too).
At least, I think that is BlueMonday, that was a long time ago.
No random picture tonight. Sorry.

Yeah, that was me.
By the way, Perron’s answer on his skates was enigmatic. He’ll be wearing “black and white” ones. This was passed on by that other dude that was standing around by us at the end, I guess he asked when I wandered off for a bit. So no chance for clarifying questions.

I certainly look more pleased than he does.
He was really nice to all the fans but seemed pretty serious, didn’t crack a lot of smiles.
Perron, EJ and Steen were there for the announcement.
I don't generally see Demitra getting excited for pictures either.
Must be a Slovak thing. If so . . . hey, that’s how they roll.
St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
He's a fucking goalie
Wimmens are easier to figure out than goalies.
Just a chew toy for the hockey gods
Serious because
he has the weight of a franchise on his shoulders. I know a lot more is expected of all the 3yr players but we gave up some great prospects for him.
Yes, I know prospects are just that but he, in my opinion is unproven. Any player can go on a tear and he has never come into the yr knowing he was #1.
Maybe the fact that this city isn’t a hockey pressure cooker all the time will make him even better. Then again, maybe he’s the type that thrives and does better in that atmosphere.

Also..
Didn’t he just land in St. Louis the evening before?
Hell, he hasnt’ even had a chance to have lunch here yet (maybe even dinner).
All he has had is breakfast.
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
