Roller Hockey Team Forming.

Hey Game-Timers,
I haven't been commenting a lot this year, mostly lurking, but I thought maybe some readers might be interested in playing on a roller hockey team in the next session coming up at ALL AMERICAN.  I've got 4 guys as of right now and we're taking on all comers and any position and skill level.  This is all about having fun, and possibly drinking after, well probably drinking after.  Anyway we're looking at playing on SUNDAY nights, and I'll be honest the 4 of us are just trying to get back into the game, we haven't played for a while so theres going to be some big time rust, don't worry about skill, just jump on board if you are looking to play.  All we ask of you is to pay your part, show up, take your shifts and not be a tool.  You reply to this or email me at brian.z.gosling@gmail.com

Again, this is for SUNDAY @ ALL AMERICAN and the deadline to register a team is FEB 6.

(And yes I edited this post, there were like 4 comments before I did, so if they say something about Tuesday or where at those comments were relevant at the time.)

**********The Team is pretty much full now everyone, we have 14 skaters and a keeper.  Thanks for all the great responses, if you are still interested in playing leave a message below or shoot me an email, we may have some drop outs before the first game, but please be aware you will likely be on a waiting list to play.  Other options are getting on the free agent list for your day of choice at All American (or another rink) or posting on the stlhockey inline forum as a player looking for a team (this is how I found half the team).  Thanks again everyone!*******************

Thanks Everyone.

Brian

Dude I'm totally there.

Just let me know the night and all that. Of course is All-American still up in St. Louis. I heard they were moving to Wentzville. But yeah, I’d love to play. I’m a D-man and I play a couple nights a week, so let me know.

Team America

Hey I am in the same boat. Its been awhile but I have been wanting to play more often. What days or night are you thinking. I played at MWSH a couple of years ago, and before that I played from 4th grade to 11th grade. I can play Offense or Defense, and backup keep. I use to be a goalie but its then started playing goalie for lacrosse. Went back to hockey and failed. I am good on the forecheck and the penalty kill. Just want to have some fun and score a few goals, skills are a little rusty so is the stamina. I may be able to find another if you need em.

Sounds appealing. Where would you play?

Ok everyone just got the details ironed out with my alternate captain.

The league is on SUNDAY nights at All American.

Deadline for registering a team in on FEB. 6 so that gives us a bit more time.

You can reply here, but please email me at brian.z.gosling@gmail.com so I can get a team list together for the sake of (the) organ-eye-zation. I’m trying to pick up free agents from almost any source I can (sound familiar???)

Yeah

I can do that. So long as we’re playing in St. Louis and not Wentzville, it sounds good to me.

100% Want to Play,

But not 100% I can commit just yet…I haven’t played in a long while either, I prefer playing forward (due to my limited backward skating ability) but have been DYING to play.

well sounds like we’ve got a lot of D on the team so good. hopefully you can make it aboard. we only need to have a team registered by the 6th so there will alway be room for hop ons. (you’re gonna get some hop ons)

Do you have any idea what times on Sunday nights you’d be playing? I’m kinda interested, but All American is a bit of a drive for me since I live out in St. Charles. I’m not sure I’d be able to swing it if the games are going to be fairly late. Of course, this is all assuming you’d be interested in a 32-year-old who is average at best. Also, out of curiosity more than anything, what kind of fee would we be looking at?

by BlueNoteExpress on Jan 14, 2011 7:10 PM CST reply actions

we’d certainly be interested, we’re all average and our age range is about 24 – 33, but no one will be excluded by age. I don’t know about times, I hear the games on sundays range from 6 to 11, so obviously 11 is pretty late.

if a team plays in full before the first game is 990. so on a ten man team thats 99 a head. we’ll call and even hundred a baseline so it can go higher or lower, and that is for ten games.

think it over, if you’re interested shoot me an email, just know you’re more than welcome.

I’ve heard from bluestiger and singing the blues via email, so thanks guys.

Anyone else thats remotely interested please send me an email at brian.z.gosling@gmail.com so I can add you to my growing team email list. You don’t have to be committed 100%, we’ve still got time for that, I just want to get a list I can reach all interested parties at. Thanks for the responses so far!

I can be a goalie if you guys need one`

Not the best but I still play in a couple of leagues up there. Still only 17 though so I dont know if there is an age limit or anything like that.

Well, we need a keeper and I don’t think there are age restrictions. Shoot me an email. We’ll figure it out.

Looking forward to getting back in the game!

Roster is pretty much full up right now. If you didnt get a long email from me today that doesnt mean you’re totally out of luck, we’ve got about 14 skaters and a keeper right now, there will probably be flakes. If so I’ll be back to look again. Thanks everyone for your interest, should be fun!

OH Hell yes!!

We need to figure out if we can’t get Game Time jerseys. I actually know someone who does printing. If we’re interested, send em the logo and what we want and I’ll see what we can do.

Send in the stickers, we’ve got helmet space. If you really want to go above and beyond maybe some pants with “Game Time” across the ass.
