Sharks claim Wellwood, Blues fans indifferent
Kyle Wellwood has been claimed by the Sharks. The Blues are now 0-2 in the bring-KHLers-back-to-the-NHL game. No word on if the Blues get a finder's fee.

It's not the player
but I’m starting to get a little pissed off with the fact that teams ABOVE us in the standings get a crack at him and yet we don’t. And no compensation for the work we put in.
Oh – and the fact that it’s the SHarks. And I despise them,.

lolololololol
It’s hilarious that this happened, but It’s okay. you guys are better off without him.
not mad
but pretty sure every team is looking to keep the Blues down

Sharks
sign Welly and Eager, despite needing defense more than forwards? Trades’a brewin. If they try to offer Whalewood as part of a trade package for a Blues d-man, I can only hope we laugh in their face and hang up the phone. Unless they’re offering Marleau as well, then… maybe.
The Sharks win this round.
1) Cheapshot the Blues’ most talented player into oblivion.
2) Claim their KHL signee.
3) ???
4) Profit.
HAHAHA.
They got Ben Eager! YES. Useless cocknocker. I’m impressed ATL got a 5th rounder for that thing.

Seriously?
Why the fuck do our guys keep getting poached. And why does a team with more points than us get to do it?

Jay McClement for Selke in 2011. Justice will be served. Penalties will be killed.
Every team except the Blues could claim him off waivers, with priority starting at the bottom of the standings and moving up. If it passed by every team, then he would have been on the STL roster.

You know, now there's a bigger reason to win the Cup this year.

Except that...
… by the time said chalice is lifted, the Svatos and Wellwood contracts will have expired.
Again, the last team we played?
(or am I wrong about that?)
Dear San Jose
I don’t want to be caught up in all of your trade tom foolery. You annoy me.
Always,
Hartigan
You have to wonder if we are somehow trying to make the teams in the west worse by doing this. Doug Armstrong may be a mad genius.
He should go on a wacky hiring rampage.
“Look, guys! I signed Jaromir Jagr!”

Lou Lamoriello has to be kicking himself.
“Dammit, if only I’d announced that we signed Rolston from the KHL…”
''Finders fee?''
The Blues get nothing out of this but a big middle finger from the San Jose Sharks.
They might as well sign 2003 draft pick Juhamatti Aaltonen; I doubt he gets snagged on waivers, and there was interest in bringing him over here a couple of years ago anyway.

Can we trade for Scott Nichol and then summarily throw the motherfucker off a cliff?
Because that makes about as much sense in this situation.

Except our entire first line
An NHL caliber player even if mediocre would be nice to replace the AHL callups we have swarming our roster.
