Yeah pretty much...

though it is pretty shitty that teams are poaching us…

You got that right...

^5

Especially since it’s goddamn Western Cinference teams that are poaching from the Blues. If Svatos and/or Wellwood help the Predators and/or Sharks past the Blues for a playoff spot, I’m gonna be enormously pissed off…

well

they probably won’t.. heh.

Svatos is already day-to-day with an injury… I doubt Wellwood will do a whole lot for the Sharks either.

Yes

But if I were Wellwood, I’d buy my own In-N-Out franchise and live in an apartment above it.

Actually, I’d do that anyway.

How much hate do we have for the Kings?

If they owe us blood for something that occurred in the past two years, I’d wait. Otherwise, let’s see how TJ is doing.

The Lord and Savior T.J. Oshie has returned

He shall use his God wand to lead the Blues to the Promised Land and Fourth in the West—he’s that damn good.

Seriously though, I hope he plays on the third or fourth line for a while. No sense in rushing him back and making him play 23 minutes a night.

naaa

It’s TJ F(ucking) Oshie…play him…dudes a beast…he will be fine.

by hockeyno93 on Jan 18, 2011 1:58 PM CST via mobile up reply actions

yeah I was thinking that too

If anything he’ll be seeing less ice time than he usually does for a couple games… and I wonder if he’ll see much PK time either… can’t imagine they’d want him blocking tons of shots right away. It’s too bad. A lot of his value is with the penalty kill.

Also, Oshie may not be a 30 goal, point-a-game guy, but there is a definite impact to getting a guy like him back on the ice. Now, you have other forwards playing back on other lines, getting different (and maybe easier) matchups, and playing more of their natural role.

you dont like seeing Crombeen getting scoring line time?

Thank goodness TJ is back. Now if only Dp57 and Happymeal recover…we will be back in business.

On a side note, anyone have a link to where I can find total team games lost to injury? Curious as too how bad we’ve been hit compared to everyone else.

im not a fan of second-line Beej

but im also not a fan of saying, “hey teej, go fix this.” ease him in. get him confident and for the love of god make sure everything if healed.

a re-injury to the ankle because they asked him to do too much too soon would be just stupid.

Games lost to injury

THIS THREAD at Hockey’s Future updates the Blues’ man-games lost to injury on a regular basis. Don’t know where to find that info for other teams, though…

Oshie Claimed Off Waivers

Breaking news. Oshie somehow claimed by other team. Seriously, though – I bet he plays 18 mins tonight. Go Blue.

Blues email says

he’ll be in the lineup

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has activated forward T.J. Oshie from injured reserve. Oshie has missed 31 games after suffering a fractured left ankle on November 10th in Columbus. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Blues host the Los Angeles Kings at 7 p.m. at Scottrade Center.

I'm a going to be there

gimpy leg and everything.
Less than a week since ankle surgery, and I am STILL going to the game tonight.
Although, I won’t be in my usual seats. (My ticket rep changed my usual to handicap, bless her heart)

I. Can’t. Wait.
I wonder how many people will notice my license plate on my knee scooter?

Please don't let

anything happen to him. I can’t be here until 8:30ish. Boys have soccer practice.
My luck and he’ll be broken again before I can even see him on the ice.

Plus he should definitely be back in time before the STL@Avs game next week so I’ll get to see him play.

tweeted possible (not definite, with Wellwood out and Oshie in) lines, including a 17-21-74 line. Vladi and Oshie on the same line! That might be a WMD violation….
