More Effin' Fabulous News...
According to a reliable "Hockey's Future" poster on-site in Russia, Vladimir Tarasenko suffered a shoulder injury today, and is done for the year.
No word on the seriousness of the injury, other than that T-90 is done for the season. The KHL regular season has only about a week or two to go, however, so the injury may not be all that serious.
Your Game Time Prospect Department will stay on top of this story as best we can, and provide updates as they are available.
UPDATE 1920 hrs, MST: I have re-Tweeted a couple of updates from Dmitry Chesnokov regarding Tarasenko. There are tests scheduled to determine the extent of the injury, but no word on the extent of the injury yet.

All things will be beter when Halak overcomes this nightmare. It is all in his head, it is not possible to play like in playoffs on the beginning of the season and now this… his abilities are the same, they did not disappear… the problem is 80% of goalie strength is in his head, right now he try to do everything on his own – he is not playing his game…
look at first couple of games and now…
But I believe he will be much stronger, when he climes out of this hole and I have not doubt that he will do it. And the team starts to play better because now they don´t have much confidence in each other – the team is afraid of what will happen when they allow a shot on Halak and Halak is afraid of what will happen if he does not take care of “everything” in front of him…
Remember head is affecting averything and fear ties you up, I believe Halak will win this battle and then we will see something.
Greetings from Slovakia and take care…
Thanks for the upbeat words

Not as bad as thought
Siberian Tiger over at the asylum who is in Novosibirsk, Russia and regularly posts updates about Tarasenko, has just posted the following:
Just got word that Tarasenko went to the doctor today. The diagnosis of an Acromioclavicular Joint Injury with torn ligaments was confirmed. The rough initial estimate for his recovery is around a month. First round of the playoffs begin Feb 24th. Hoping for a speedier than expected recovery!

Good deal, Doc... thanks for that...
I stay away from The Asylum, so I wouldn’t think to look there for updates.
Sounds like he might be able to skate in the playoffs for Sibir then, if he heals fast and Sibir goes more than one round in.
