Saw Tesink and MacAulay play yesterday...

Took a little roadie up from Boston to Victoriaville, QC to see the Saint John Sea Dogs, home of Blues prospects Ryan Tesink and Steven MacAulay, play yesterday. Well, their team lost 7-0, but it was primarily a result of Victo's goalie being bosslike and Saint John's goaltending being quite the opposite.

Tesink played a good amount of time on the second penalty kill unit, and MacAulay saw some PP time as the game started to wind down. Also noticed that of all the players on the team, MacAulay was the one who most verbally expressed his frustrations at the score. The two of them played together on a line all game, as well.

All in all it was ugly - Tesink lost 8 of 9 faceoffs, and MacAulay didn't fare much better - but the two combined for 9 shots on goal (gotta find a positive, right?). The game breaks Saint John's 5 game winning streak, but the pair and their team should fare a lot better against Gatineau next week.

It was a fun trip!
