Is it bad...
…to want Winnipeg to pick Avery off of waivers just to fuck with New York?

Are we taking bets
On how many times it will take someone asking Torts “Do you still feel you have better players than Sean Avery?” to make his head explode?
Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not. - Thomas Jefferson
Sean Avery should be wearing a trollface mask tonight for Halloween.
“Problem, Coach Tortorelli?”

I was looking at last years stats and....
Through the first 11 games Stewart had already posted 16 points, 9 of them goals. Sure would be nice if he could get hot.
MountainBeaver
Indeed.
I wonder what’s taking the team so long to heat up? It can’t just be going into a funk due to lousy special teams.

well at this point last year
Backes only had 1 goal. So I guess he starting a little bit hotter, and Steen is for sure.

Then if the problem isn't them, then who?
The defensive players are letting guys too close to the goalies for their own good. The scoring lines aren’t scoring fast enough to make up for defensive errors, and our head goalie let in a couple of soft goals on top of the sluggish defense. Is it the team responding to the plays the coaches are setting up, then what is it? The guys who were expected to start out hot are sluggish, and we’ve had to rely on the third line for scoring. Matt D’Agostini has been a complete stud for the team in that respect.
This team can’t rely so much on Andy McDonald as its offensive linchpin, can it? If so, we’re going to be in deep trouble this year.

Hey y'all
Going to the Blues game this Friday, my first since I was in grad school and they were still playing at the Arena (gawd that makes me feel old…) Was going to be within a two hour drive and figured, what the hell.
Any advice on parking etc. etc. for somebody who’s never been to ScottTrade? Got tickets in section 104 and hope the seats are good.
Parking
Once you get downtown, parking isn’t a terribly difficult procedure in terms of finding a lot or finding one that isn’t expensive. Most places are $5-$10 and are in plenty supply on Scottrade’s east side along Clark.
If you don’t mind walking about 3-4 city blocks worth of distance (10 minutes tops) in the cold, park on the west side of Union Station on the street (there’s a big Drury hotel and a gated parking lot nearby) since the meters aren’t running in the evenings and it leaves more money for beer.
No beer and no TV make Homer...something something.

The City Hall lot and police academy lots were all right.
They were around $10.

Also
The lot between 17th and 18th on Chestnut is mighty fine too. $5 and it’s lighted up like a Christmas tree and only a few blocks away from the arena.
Have a great time, and pretty much any seat is bad ass! :)

Lighted?
Lit up… This is what happens with three hours of sleep and working a ten hour shift.
