Was that a link to the Towerlight I see?
Well damn, a link to my alma mater’s school newspaper, I never thought I’d see that here!

Looove the Gladiators.
Talk about a good ECHL market – the games draw serious fans, and are a blast to go to. They’ll have no problem getting Thrashers fans out there. The only problem I have with them is because it takes me so long in the horrible traffic here to get out there.
Thrashing the Blues - No, I'm not re-naming it.
SB Nation St. Louis
St. Louis Game Time - We turn the F bomb into an art form.
Reporter: There`s a "stamp out the Beatles movement" underway in Detroit. What are you going to do about it?
Paul McCartney: We`re going to start a campaign to stamp out Detroit.
BTW, that link makes me want to find Gearon and punch him in the throat.

So the 2011 Cardinals now have a pet tortoise and a rodent to rally around.
That sound you hear is Tony La Russa’s animal-loving orgasm.
Fight Club writer for the print edition of St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
The Throwdown Lowdown Report, only on The Bluenote Zone.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
I thought it was him stumbling drunk around the clubhouse getting to his car?
What, too soon?

Rangers claim Woywitka off waivers
World continues to spin.
He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
Aren't you that guy who hates the blues?
He's a better player than Sean Avery.
Hopefully Torts makes that clear in the press release.
but not a better playa
And a harvest of righteousness is grown from the seed of peace planted by peacemakers.

IT'S HOCKEY SEASON!!!
Currently listening to Toronto’s feed of TOR-MON, at http://www.640toronto.com/
No score yet, but it’s Hockey That Counts. Hooray!!!
Brad Marchand pops the cherry on 2011-12 goal scoring...
… with an unassisted PPG (?!!?) at 9:42 of the first period of BOS-PHI.
Leafs survive Montreal's surge in the first period...
… then Matthew Lombardi pumps in a shorty to give Toronto’s Favorite Team a 1-0 lead over Montreal’s Favorite Team.
Carey Price apparently skated off the ice a minute early...
… as the Flyers scored twice to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.
Flyers first goal came off the stick of Giroux...
… with assists going to Puffnuts and Cap’n Happy. (There’s a combination I never thought I’d see on a scoring sheet.)
Scratch Price, insert Thomas.
Hard to read one box score while listening to a different game. Oops.
The Leaf fails to convert on a minute and a half of 5-on-3...
… still 1-0 going to the 2nd intermission.
Phaneuf scores Toronto's sloppy second goal...
Leaf 2, Hab 0.
Reimer stops a 6-on-4 flurry at the end of the 3rd...
… sealing his first shutout of the season. Leafs are 1-0, will announce the Cup parade route tomorrow.
Looking to the right side of the page
I see a headline that says “Penguins Vs. Canucks: Vancouver Hosts Final Game of NHL Opening Night”
Is it wrong that I expect parenthesis accompanying that headline making it read like this?
“Penguins Vs. Canucks: Vancouver Hosts Final Game of NHL Opening Night (Riots Ensue)”
Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not. - Thomas Jefferson
Vancouver appears to be intent on putting those riots behind them.
I’m assuming they’ve decided internally to just tank the season and miss the playoffs entirely, thus eliminating the possibility of more riots. That’s the only real explanation for Luongo allowing Matt Cooke to score two goals in one game.
