Thursday Links: Eklund and Larry Go Fishing Edition
The rumor yesterday was that the Blues were trading for Tuomo Ruutu. What was the rumored Blues piece that would go to Carolina? Clearly, Rusty Zamboni. He hasn't been up to par lately. Fiesty little guy, though.

"I've got a bad feeling about this..."
This has probably been asked before...
…but does anyone know if the Blues do, or do not do, certain things differently than other NHL clubs, in regard to physical training of their players?
It really seems like the Blues get hit with more injuries — and injuries to key players at that — than many other clubs.
No doubt a lot of it is just dumb bad luck, but I’d be interested to know if there wasn’t something institutional, endemic to the Blues, that creates the circumstances under which the seemingly-annual rash of key injuries occurs.

Concussions amd broken bones are hard to defend against. Hell just look at Roman Polak; physical speciman/helmut farter extraordinaire, injured by a freak blade accident last year

Interesting so I had to research
Aiden – son of Gino
Connor – son of Dan? I can’t find anything specific but he was born in Wildwood MO 1991. Dan Quinn played for the Blues one year and it was over the 1991 season.
John – son of Rob
Travis – son of Perry
Dominic – son of Rick
Mike – son of Mike, also his grandfather Mike coached Sault Ste Marie AAA/bantam hockey for 35 years.

Injuries are going to happen..
at least the Blues are playing a rough, choppy style in order to “earn” them.
