Rivs sign three to PTO's; Allen dons the Maple Leaf again

The Rivermen, beset with a rash of injuries not unlike their parent club in St. Louis, have signed a number of players to PTO (pro tryout) contracts.

Forward Chris Bruton, who attended the Peoria training camp back in October, has signed with the Rivs after having already appeared in four games for them on an emergency basis.

Maury Edwards, an Alberta native who had some good years on the blueline with UMass-Lowell from 2007-2011, and goalie David McKee, a former Cornell standout who has been kicking around the CHL for the last couple of years, have also signed PTO's with the Rivermen.

"McKee is filling in for Rivermen goaltender Jake Allen who has joined Team Canada to participate in the Spengler Cup this week in Davos, Switzerland."
