For those of you who have not heard and/or have not seen, there was an absolute brawl between the Pens and Isles last Friday.
I_AM_SPARTACUS was kind enough to post this link and it is by far the best video coverage i have seen.

Now, It is beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Lemieux is a phenomenal player. But I digress. The NHL has handed out fines and suspensions which most (NHL, NHL LIVE & YAHOO SPORTS) seem to think are fair, however, Mr. Lemieux got his feelings hurt and decided to write/blog/tweet/something the NHL and thus stated his opinion. Here is a quote i found on "Yahoo Sports" concerning Mr. Lemieux:
"Hockey is a tough, physical game, and it always should be. But what happened Friday night on Long Island wasn't hockey. It was a travesty. It was painful to watch the game I love turn into a sideshow like that.
"The NHL had a chance to send a clear and strong message that those kinds of actions are unacceptable and embarrassing to the sport. It failed.
"We, as a league, must do a better job of protecting the integrity of the game and the safety of our players. We must make it clear that those kinds of actions will not be tolerated and will be met with meaningful disciplinary action.
"If the events relating to Friday night reflect the state of the league, I need to re-think whether I want to be a part of it."
A couple weeks ago i read, on a previous post on SLGT, that Mario Lemieux is one of the leading advocates for eliminating the facet of fighting from the NHL. What i don't understand is how upset he is with the NHL and what occurred on that day but yet he employs Matt Cooke. I just found that a little funny and annoying. Am i the only one that thinks Lemieux overreacted? I personally would love to see him forfeit his current position and not "be a part of it."
