Peter Stastny loves "THE Trade"... for St. Louis
Not so much for the Avalanche, however...
Peter The Great says Doug E. Fresh "will look like a genius" in the final analysis.
This is all making me think that maybe Erik Johnson really wasn't all that and a bag o' chips, as we originally thought her in The STL. Certainly, some well-respected hockey minds are in agreement that the Blues got the better end of this deal.

I heard that shiz
Live on KMOX during the game and really couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t that I didn’t think the thought wasn’t out there, just more that I didn’t think I’d hear it from a Hall of Famer. Especially one who’s kid plays for the team that he’s ripping on. Lol, let her rip Elder Stastny.

Peter Stastny knows his shit.
And, obviously, he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind on this issue.

They’re called prospects for a reason.
I'm pretty laid back when I'm not freaking the fuck out.
look i'm kearning to love cap'n crunch
his ice vision is astounding and his pp finese should eventualyl produce free big macs
but it is quite aparrent his arrival (along with with jon luc picard) have not stopped the most basic of issues.
and im not talking about skill. i’m talking about 60 minutes worth of hockey
damn with faint praise all day and night, and i already posted hindsight has nothing ot do with the value of this trade or any trade
BUT if we swapped out players for the exact same type of players because otehr teams develope them better (i.e. lets lose kt and open up d-man qb spot, then go get kt jr and pp qb jrom someone who might just have drafted. developed, and signed better but whatever we do, don’t make the baby step to the obvious conclusion).
what, exactly, are oshie and backes if not a stewart in a bigger number?

I love Peter like few other players
And I have two of his jerseys, and am happy to hear him dread this trade for the Avs.
But he lost me at Colorado being “close to a Cup contender” and “all they needed was some more chemistry and synergies.” Maybe it was lost in translation, but it got me scratching my head about what the hell he was on about.

Well, he's not likely to say that his son's team is a worthless, hopeless collection of shitbirds...
…except for his son, of course. :)
