Saturday Links: BLOOZOCKY Edition

That Chris Stewart is something special, isn't he? Fantastic TEAM effort out there last night.

Don't you just love how the Blues toy with your heart? Yes, there is hope. No, there isn't hope. Wait, yes, there is hope. etc., etc., etc.

Blues News:

  • JR's recap includes the best picture of Roman Polak ever. [Post Dispatch]

  • Another recap, this time with a video highlight package. [CBC]

  • Ben Biship is a Star! [not of the Dallas variety] [Puck Daddy]

  • Short Perron update. [THN]

  • With the trade deadline fast approaching, could the Blues be looking to add another trade this year? [Blues]

Hockey News:

  • Recruiting the best hockey players to college programs just got a whole lot harder. [The Boston Globe]

  • Interesting article on Steven Stamkos. In it Stamkos's body is compared to a frog. [WSJ]

  • Sports Illustrated's piece on Eklund: 98.5% of his rumors don’t come true? Stuff me with feathers and call me a pillow. [SI]      Wyshynski's originial article on Eklund. Twitter was all a flitter with these two writers sharing words over their respective articles AND people mocking Eklund. The mockers were all following Eklund's mad lib form. [fanhouse]
  • An infomercial has more viewers than the Florida Panthers. To be fair, watching ice be crushed is entertaining. The Panthers aren't shying away, oh no sir. The Panthers are using the possible NFL and NBA work stoppages as part of their marketing. [Miami Herald]

  • Anybody recall what a Staal on Staal hit equals on the Staal vs. Staal drinking game? Whatever it is. Do it now. Also, these Staal brothers are falling down like flies. [CBC] [THN]

  • Joffrey Lupul used Twitter to track down his phone. I’m more surprised at the spelling of his name. [Globe and Mail]
  • DOWN GOES BROWN! Need I say more? Fine. It's about trades. [DGB]

  • Mike Green's head hasn't been too lucky these past few weeks. First, a puck to the face. Second, a head shot. [Puck Daddy]

  • "Don't Stop Believin'" group dance on ice. I don't think the show will be coming to a rink near you. [Puck Daddy]
