BTW, I knew the team was not going to work together at all when no one even tried to get Bishop his stick back in the first. I could swear one guy even stepped over it. Seriously, what were they thinking “Get it yourself, Rookie!”?

and the rule clearly states that a player can take his stick back to him as long as he doesn’t play the puck while doing so.

and no, a player can’t “slide” it back to him, it has to be hand carried.

So a player can't just backhand pass Bishop's stick back towards the goal on his way out of the zone?

Sounds like a pretty stupid-ass rule to me… which ,since it was probably instituted in the Gary Bettman Era, would figure.

Is it just me or do today's players lose their sticks way too often?

Every game there is a Blue or two fishing for their stick after they either drop it or get it knocked out of their hands. You can’t play shit without a stick so hold the fuck on tighter, jesus. Same for the other teams. Tape the SOBs hands to their sticks, that’ll cure that shit real fast.

Cheap ass bastards. Along with the sticks that break on a simple slapshot. Not a Chopper style shot, but just a regular slapshot… any of today’s sticks should be able to handle that… but noooooo….wimpy wimpy..
