Peoria Clinches AHL Playoff Spot
After falling behind 2-0 to their arch-rivals, the Chicago Wolves, the Rivermen roared back with five unanswered goals to skin the Wolves 5-2, and lock up an AHL playoff spot for the 2010-11 season.
LINK here to official AHL game sheet.
Three stars: 3rd, Stefan Della Rovere; 2nd, Derek Nesbitt; 1st, Nathan Oystrick.
Jake Allen, who will have to carry the load for the first round until Ben Bishop returns from an injury, turned aside 22 of 24 Chicago shots for the win.
Peoria's first-round playoff opponent will likely not be decided until after this weekend's games. We here at your Game Time Prospect Department will update you on the possible playoff scenarios in tomorrow night's print edition, and here online as well.

Does anyone know if any players will be sent down for the playoffs?
Or will they just roll with the team they have?
I think -- not 100% sure -- that they've already sent down the players that are eligible...
HERE is the link to the AHL Clear Day roster for the Rivermen. These players are the only ones who can skate in the playoffs for the Rivermen, barring injury or being signed to a pro or amateur tryout contract (PTO / ATO).

Thanks for the info.
Hopefully they can win it all, it would make for a decent consolation prize.
I am wanting
to try and make it up there for a playoff game.
Anyone else interested?
(Sorry TB and other out of towners, staters, and countryers.)
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
I'll expect a full report from any ''Game Time'' associates who attend a playoff game...
…there’s a “Prospect Sunday” byline in it for you.
Digital photos would be swell also.
