Just got an update on Perron. This from NHL.com: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=585667&navid=mod-rr-headlines
The news comes from JR of the Post Dispatch: http://www.stltoday.com/sports/hockey/professional/article_15fea740-bdd7-11e0-8aa6-0019bb30f31a.html
I'm sure whoever is compiling links for today will post this, sorry for any potential thunder stealing, but just wanted to start the discussion about where the Blues go from here. What do our lines look like? If this is something that he will not recover from this year, how does it affect Perron and the Blues long term?
Not to create hyperbole, this news ought to be taken with a grain of salt. The story in no way means that he's doing worse or hasn't been progressing. Mostly, I take this to mean that he will not have time to start working out on and off the ice in order to be in hockey shape for the season. At this point, I'm hoping for a second half of the season return, assuming he can start workouts once the season starts. However, it does suck, which I can say confidently as pure, 100% fact.
