I attend many Blues games every season. I remember 3 or 4 years ago, during the Sunday matinee games, the in-game entertainment would feature a small local university (SLU?) pep band.
I thought this was such a fun & unique twist to the in game experience.
I would REALLY like to see such a 'Pep' band reincorporated into the Blues in-game entertainment experience. Possibly to the Thursday, Friday, &/or Saturday night games; or to the Student night games.
I do not know of any other NHL venues that have team Pep Band. Nashville has bands perform during intermission. But not a brass & percussion pep band. The energy the pep band provided was different than that of the organist or the typical 'Top-40' music played @ every other NHL venue.
Furthermore, this also could be an opportunity to form a sort of ongoing music program/internship with the numerous local Universities & their music students. College credit? This would allow further community outreach & exposure for the St. Louis Blues product.
Thank you for your time, & have a great new year! Let's go Blues!
