NHL Progression 1909-2012
[Promoted FanPost]
I was always curious in what teams had been in the NHL and how the NHL got to what it is today. So, I put together a quick timeline movie to depict it, I have always seen thing better visually. It is a first attempt, and I was getting used to some of the software I have since I haven't done video editing in a couple years, so I was trying to get feedback by putting it on YouTube but haven't had much success. So fellow Blues fan, I figured I would post it here and try to get some feedback for future videos.
Also, I know the 2012 slide is now incorrect, thanks to the NHLPA, but I posted it prior to their decision.

That was pretty cool
Loved not only how the teams shifted, but how the logos changed through the years

Let's go Blues!
I remember my Grandma
talking about going to the St Louis Eagles games. She and a girlfriend lived in an apartment building on Kingshighway at the end of Oakland Ave. It wasn’t common for young women, not married to live outside the home back then. I’m pretty sure she was a hell raiser! I definitely didn’t get that from her but maybe my love of hockey is genetic.
She was sooo excited when the Blues arrived.
Also looking at the map towards the end and seeing the huge empty spaces west of us makes me wonder where is there enough population or love of hockey to support another team.
So I looked at population maps. Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Portland and Seattle are the largest cities with no team.
Then I wonder about the Dakotas but the largest city between the 2 only has 153k and probably not a lot of suburban sprawl to draw added butts for the seats.
Hockey players wear numbers because you can't always identify the body with dental records.

That was pretty damn cool.
Fight Club writer for the print edition of St. Louis Game Time . . . I need another beer.
The Throwdown Lowdown Report, only on The Bluenote Zone.
And I can also write things in 140 characters or fewer.
Very cool...
I also like that you changed the Logo’s as they changed.
Very nicely done.
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?
Impressive
Nicely done.
Rule 78.5 And A Half:
All rules go out the window if the play in question occurs during a game including the St. Louis Blues franchise. All ruling shall go against said franchise.

Thats pretty cool
A powerpoint slideshow would be nice to be able to flip through the slides and see each of the logos as they change, there were points where it just felt like there was a lot goin on and couldnt see all the cool details like that.
