Blues Prospects Trending Up, Jan. 22, 2012
By Brian Weidler, "Game Time" Prospect Department
THE REGULARS:
The three "regulars" on our list scored a total of four goals and five points between them in regular-season play this week, with WHL scoring leader Ty Rattie carrying the load with three goals in two games.
AFTER THE JUMP:
After the jump, your weekly look at the players in the Blues' organization who are "Trending Up." There are a couple of new faces in the Fab Five this week, and some players who have been here before, but an 0-2-0 week for Peoria has kept the Rivermen out of contention for the spotlight this week. Stay tuned...

Beach and Edmunson is encouraging.
Joel is kinda a darkhorse inspite of being a 2nd round pick, and Beach is probably my favorite late round pick of recent years.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what Beach can do in Peoria next year...
If he’s Anthony Peluso with some scoring touch, that will be most welcome.

I tend
to think of Edmunson as our next Jackman

Will Rattie go pro next year?
Damn he’s having a hell of a season. Granted he’s not a defenseman, but do we take the Pietrangelo route and let him play a few games, then maybe send him back down to juniors or to Peoria? I’m just speculating at this point since other roster moves and off season signings could affect our depth chart. Just wanted to see what other people’s consensus is.
he's too young
to play in the ahl. he’s also, probably, too small to play in the nhl. his listed weight is about 170—that’s super small.
dude needs to bulk up and uhhh get older before he takes the next step.
Joe is correct on all counts...
…although I see the Pietrangelo treatment as a possibility for Rattie if he continues to play at this level. He’s nearly a goal a game player right now in the best junior league in the world, where there are plenty of guys and entire teams who are “NHL-sized.” One would think he’s bulked up a little over that listed weight of 170, but without seeing him in person, it’s hard to say for sure.

Alright TB
I want a different picture of Ty, being a Mom I would not want everyone looking at the pic of my son. It looks like a mug shot.
How about one of these

We’re going to be talking about him for awhile so how about a picture a Mom is proud of.
Sorry, it’s just been irritating me.
