What. The. Hell.

Confession. The title has nothing to do with last nights game, but it has everything to do with life. Am I right?

Also, who drank a lot during that second period? That was tough.

Blues News:

  • You could read this Dan O'Neill recap of the game, OR you can go read Average Joe's recap. Guess which door I picked. [Post Dispatch]
  • A look into Halak's mind . . . it's a messed up world. [Post Dispatch]

Hockey News:

Video:

"Heck of a shot by Johnson there." I'm just getting ready for tomorrow's game. A little premature, but that's our Johnson for you.

Swelling isn't terrible

Pain isn’t bad either.

Thus far, I’m doing ok. More as it develops.

O'Neil has to be doing this on purpose now right?

His lede for the recap is a Lionel Richie song? (I think…)

I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.

I thought it was a riff on the old Certs breathmint commercials.

Something about last night's game.

The power play looked like business as usual until the third period. Have I lowered my expectations in saying “If we get a power play goal per game, that’s good” or have I just brought my expectations of the Blues to normal? I haven’t expected any power play goals for a while this year.

One PPG per game would be awesome.

Last year Vancouver led the league with 72. Washington had 79 the year before. Several teams had 82+ in the other post-lockout years, but that’s due more to the higher numbers of penalties called in those years. (Percentages for the top teams are consistently in the 22-24% range.)

This year’s Blues are getting roughly 3.4 power-play chances per game, so they’d need to score at a 29% clip to get one PPG a night. That’s just not happening.

Own goal

Well, I sorta blame Halak on that one, he’s always had trouble controlling rebounds and that one is about a juicy as they get. Jokinnen would have put it in just as easily as Johnson.

The name of that song played at KC Comets games in the '80's was Giorgio Moroder's "The Chase." Now you know.

Well I'd agree with you

Except Conklin was in goal, not Halak
