I'm nervous.
Well, nervous might not be the right word. Anxious. I've been thinking about this game all day. But I feel good. In a nervous way.
I'm nervous.
Look, we know the Blues have won four games in a row on the road during the first four legs of this six-game trip. They're at the top of the Central Division and hot on the trail of the Vancouver Canucks, a team they've played hard but not had a ton of success against this year. But this just reeks of a big game. And the Blues haven't had many of those the last few years. Sure, it's the first of March. The season doesn't end for more than a month. The Blues have a lot of games left. A win tonight doesn't clinch anything. But it would sure feel good.
The Canucks were the representative for the Western Conference in the Cup Finals last year. They are a fast, skilled and veteran team. They know how to win. The Blues want to get to where the Canucks are. A win tonight in front of 20,000 Looooooooooooo screaming fans would be a great next step on wherever this journey is taking us this year.
Brian Elliott gets the start after Jaroslav Halak has started the last four. David Backes hates Canada. Tonight, I hate Canada.
