THE REGULARS:

2011 second-round pick (32nd overall) Ty Rattie lost his linemate and playmaker Sven Bärtschi to a callup by Calgary this week, so Rattie took the playmaking into his own hands. In four games this week for the steamroller called the Portland Winterhawks, Rattie scored just once but set up seven goals by teammates.

Over in Mother Russia, 2010 first-rounder (16th overall) Vladimir Tarasenko is managing a point-per-game pace in the KHL playoffs despite getting only fourth-line ice time (about 11 minutes per game) for SKA St. Petersburg. Tarasenko and SKA eliminated CSKA Moscow and fellow Blues' prospect Sergei Andronov this week, and now move on to face Atlant Moscow Region and another former Blues' draft pick, goaltender Konstanin Barulin.

The Blues' other 2010 first-round pick (14th overall), Jaden Schwartz of Colorado College, saw his sophomore season come to a sudden end last night as the fifth-seeded Tigers were swept at home by #8 seed Michigan Tech. Schwartz was kept pretty quiet in the two-game set, managing only an assist and a minus-1.
