Cavalryman skullThis is the only day of the year that is a direct command.

The Blues have heard it, as the 5-1-0 road trip shows; the rest of the organization needs to hear it as well. Especially our Baby Blues 120 miles northeast of the Arch...

Gentlemen of the St. Louis Blues organization, from the NHL club down to the lowest level of junior, the playoff push for your clubs -- and for each of you as individuals -- commences now. March Forth!!!

...

THE REGULARS:

2011 second-round pick (32nd overall) Ty Rattie "only" managed a point per game (1 G, 3 A) this week as the Portland Winterhawks continued to steamroll through the Western Hockey League. The Hawks have not lost in regulation in their last 13 games (12-0-1-0), and have the best record in the 'Dub at 46-15-3-1 for 96 points. Rattie has moved back into second place in WHL scoring with 108 points (53 G, 55 A) in 62 games.

Over in Mother Russia, 2010 first-rounder (16th overall) Vladimir Tarasenko is lighting up the scoreboard for SKA St. Petersburg in the opening round of the KHL playoffs against CSKA Moscow and fellow Blues' prospect Sergei Andronov. Tarasenko struck for three goals, including a shorthanded tally, in three playoff games this week as SKA took an early 2-1 series lead over the Muscovites.

The Blues' other 2010 first-round pick (14th overall), Jaden Schwartz of Colorado College, picked up three goals and an assist this weekend as the Tigers swept a weekend series with Michigan Tech as a tune-up for the WCHA postseason tournament. Next weekend, the eighth-seeded Huskies will return to Colorado Springs to face the fifth seed Tigers at the world-famous Broadmoor World Arena in opening-round tournament action.

AFTER THE JUMP:

After the jump, your weekly look at the players in the Blues' organization who are "Trending Up." You may notice a distinct Quebecois flavor to the current Fab Five, as three of the Blues' trending prospects this week are current QMJHL performers, and another is only in his second season removed from competition in that league. A European who has spent much of the season in his country's Elite League, but is now tearing up the junior league there, also makes the cut this week. Stay tuned...
